I am still waiting like many other players who played PWI from the start and that used to enjoy the game and the challenges that it used to offer us as players.
why were the aniv. packs added? did the GM, EatwithSpoons, lie to us when he answered the thread, with the outrage about the aniv. packs, that the packs will be removed soon? yet the developers/GMs of PWI keep bringing back the packs(( I.E. WE DIDN'T LIKE THE ITEMS IN THE PACKS NOT THE PACKS NAMES)) with diffrent names almost every month or every other month.
the packs made you lose the majority of the fans of the game since they spened ALOT of their time on their levels and gear, when u decided to make it obtainable and so very available to any player who is willing to spend cash on the game.
maybe u should consider listening to your players for once? how many times do we have to say that we don't want the packs back? but you say your bringing them back because of players demands, when there is a poll about who wants the packs back with the results of 80%+ of players saying NO we don't want them back.
is there a bigger crowed of players saying yes we want the packs that are invisible? or they don't know where the forums are and cant come here to share their opinion?
should we keep playing the game hoping that it will stablize again? should we trust u GMs?
real cash is giving too much power to players. if i had extra cash that i wanted to spend on a game trust me i will go play a p2p game. maybe PWI became a p2p with out me knowing.
i want to see some updates come to the game that don't include the botiouqe for once, im growing so tired of lies and the down fall of the game that i once liked

I remember him saying the packs were going to be removed but never happened. But hes not a dev so what GM's say have to be taken with a grain of salt.
Um, the polls probably wont count for much, people hardly go on forums when you look at the grand total of players. They look at the money not polls. In truth, its probably the same people buying packs over and over. Either those who want to get something out of it, or the ones who have gambling issues, or even those who are like "Hey, I'll toss down 10 bucks, lets see what I cant get."
I don't see why people are buying packs so much. If I had that money and spent it on the game, I would put it to try to get the piece of gear you want. Say you want the CV weapon and have 200mil, why not just buy the CV weapon than spend 100mil on packs HOPING you can get it and end up with x amount of Tokens of luck. Or better yet farm it, with 2x drops(even without]), people have farmed their own CV helms and weapons[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

- Have the computer skills necessary to handle forum-related tasks (Web skills, basic programming)
- Be patient to handle all sorts of requests

I'm surprised none of you ever learn. Just because PW-MY was handled by a different company, doesn't mean PWI is going to be different. The devs are the ones giving out the patches, not PWE or Cubizone.0

I agree with you for the most part but I can't blame any of the GM, they hardly have any power to begin with and spoons left a while ago which is a real pitty because some times he was one of the few that was on our (playerbase) side. What happens is from the devs, they make the sales they make the patches they are Pan Gu...0 -

Spoons was probably told "these are a one-time special deal to celebrate an epoch in the game, the 1-year mark." The marketing folks likely realized that packs were a potential long-term money-maker. So they keep bringing them back... to make money. Really? The majority of the players? More than 50% of the entire playerbase across all servers? Yet there wasn't even a 1-day break between Tiger Packs and the upcoming Summer Packs whereas in the past at least we'd get a few weeks off from the ever-present "Pack Sales." Why would a for-profit company do that unless the potential profit exceeds the cost of development and marketing? They wouldn't or they'd go out of business. You and a good deal of vocal players may not want packs, but packs bring Tokens, and Tokens means cheap wine for BHs, so I've come to accept them. I don't gamble at casinos or even play the lottery (maybe a few times a year >.>), so I'm not going to begrude those who like to gamble at packs. I do object when someone else's gambling winnings has an observable and lasting effect on the economy, so I kind of wish that they'd go away too, but then my cheap wine and MP Food would also go away... Forums tend to draw those who want to complain; those that are happy with things as they are tend not to post as often as those who want to get a good rant off their chest. At least that was my finding in running a server wtih forums for a completely different game over 5 years. If you don't trust the service managers (i.e., the GMs) they why would you play here? If you like the game, then trust the GMs and play. As much as I'm hesitatnt to state this, I believe that PWE is starting to understand that cash-for-power is something that Western gamers absolutely hate, but it is commonplace and even liked in the Chinese gaming market. That's paraphrased from the Battle of Immortals product manager interview with Jonathan Beliss, so he says they've learned their lesson and are incorporating that into their new games (cash for convenience, but not for power). all the high lvls that i used to know and have spend months with playing the game all quitted the game eventually after the packs were added only few remained, all the new high level players on all the servers now are those who couldn't get passed lvl 50s, they saw oracles and how available it became to them they used them to get to 90s and 100s in a matter of days.

the tokens are giving every item to the cashshoppers without breaking a sweat OR not even knowing how or where to farm the things they are purchasing now.

It was a very fun, exciting game. I look forward to playing and such daily. Leveling up gave a sense of achievement. Learning skills was fun. Grinding was actually fun for me back then....I devoted about 1 hour or so to grinding......back then, the DQ drops actually bought you decent items I say.
TT was hard, but knowing I was getting a nice weapon/armor gear was rewarding. FBs gave EXP, I was one to do FB whenever and where ever I can. Questing was enjoyable....grind quests was my favorite honestly.
Zhenning...omg I loved zhenning. Being the lurer and zhenning at Rockens, NS, Seasprays, and Spiders. I spammed them.....great money, nice exp.
RB, was worth it back then. The rewards were great....you pretty much profit from RB....charm was covered.....repairs.....all this back when perfect and immac shards were consider.....godly.
PWi now:
The sense of achievement is gone. One who has the biggest wallet pwns all. No one zhens, no one grinds.....
TTs runs seem to be discouraged now, except during 2x exp drops....are we that spoiled now? Money runs only exist in 3-3 and 3-2...for now...
Reaching lvl 100 is nothing now. Its a meaningless number now. So sad...

Only comunications our GMs ever did with us were "We cant have players talking about game problems on forum. Topic closed" and "We're not Devs. Its not our fault. Learn chinese and sort the gamebugs with them yourself". I've been playing PWI for about 14 months. When I started playing this game, I remember how Etherblade was just so crowded. It actually provoked some lag with the sheer amount of players running around. Now it's like a ghost town where a couple of alts, probably of those whose mains are ones of hundreds of lvl 90-100 characters on the server. I can actually tell the difference in the amount of players gone just by looking at the visuals. How bad is that as a MMORPG?
Had they been playing their own game, they'd know the trouble this game is facing. But obviously not, they only care about the numbers rolling in. And every catshops in West Arch that rolls in Lunar Wing Trophy/CF Stamp/Warsong Badge/etc. every couple of days help PWI be in denial about the game's state.0 -

But seriously now I remember all the QQing when packs were 1st put into the game which lasted for quite a while yet that stopped as ppl started getting used to them . But now , gold seems to be steadily increasing and I won't be surprised if eventually it'll reach that 1m per gold price . Just being silent doesn't seem to work , all the bugs that have been in the game over a year keep being ignored and packs keep coming back into the game with different names . Maybe we should stop being silent and start all that QQing all over again till at least some of the issues are solved .
I know packs will never be completely removed but for the love of god , give us at least 1-2 months before they are added back again & mby fix some really old bugs like the cleric mag res buff not overwriting itself & the porting to 1k while dying in rebirth . well if people didnt buy them the wouldnt be back so to the ppl on the forums that are having a moan about the packs and get with the times.... these ppl hooked on packs are puttin the pwi staffs children through college payin the house mortgages etc.. why would the drop they packs for a few people when 80% of the server is buying them...
i know of people that spend alot of money of the game and thta is because they enjoy it.. and the work for there money and they dont have 16hrs to sit online everyday like everyone else..so its fine to drop money of things you enjoy doin right?? least the thrill last longer then a new xbox game or junk food from burgerking... just stop the moaning about packs and grpow up seriously0 -

Allot of those ppl have never known how the game was pre-packs so it's more likely that they'll support them & what not . There's nothing preventing them from cash shopping and still have a big advantage over others . I'm actually wondering if there is any player that was playing before packs were out that would say that he has more fun now then back then .
If we talk about pvp , the only ppl that would enjoy this would be the ones that like to be so called "gods" on their servers and 1-2 shot most ppl with a couple of skills yet I hear them from time to time QQing on how bored they are because no1 wants to fight them or that "they are bored" .
PVE is not even an option for these ppl as they just get to 100 in a few weeks doing the same thing over & over again , buy all their gears w/o even knowing where do the mats for them drop and that's pretty much the end of their "pve" .
And yes ofc every1 is using stuff from packs & tokens now . We'd be stupid not to , I'm sure every1 likes tokens & all but we could lvl up & get our gears done without them .
Convenient? Yes .
Needed ? No .
& the problem here is that this "convenience" has taken out allot of fun out of the game . The consequences are too great for it .
And again I say the ones that played pre-packs are not at fault for saying the game is better now than it was or w/e as they can't comment on something they never experienced .It's all about LoL,yo.0 -

Atleast I don't QQ if a new pack comes out, I just don't bother buying them ( don't like em? don't buy em, thats how I roll)
I see so many people just focusing on getting to 100, but I think there is alot more to do in this game.
I like exploring while I grind after finishing my quests before I level up (yup, i've only BHed once or twice), the graphics are gorgeous, heck - I have so many awsome screenshots i use them in my PC background b:shocked
Sometimes I like to just chill in Archosaur, Sanctuary, and other places, and muck around
with my factionees on voice chat.
I even sometimes head out into the level 80+ mob regions to test my kiting skills out, it sure is fun to die sometimes o.o
I even find pleasure in helping out newcomers, so you can find me around the starting area answering questions to people who have just began to play this game.

there are gear caps this means that the highest you can get is "god gear" and +12 everything. aka play long enough and your all the same injecting $ just lets you get there faster and i have no problem with people that pay getting more than a FTP like myself. will kill em all someday. i however get to enjoy the actual game along the way
new content ruins comeing back a resonable time limit to keep venos from farming the beans out of everything while afk on a heal macro
hell tw pay is even getting balanced and the mirage nerf is now non factor because i can get cheap cheap cheap geni chi
games still fun just a few people have nice gear...and have no effect on you at all
wanna do decent at lvl pvp? find some freinds go kill each other away from west/orchid or other CS hotspots
want a challenge in pve? run everything at lvl rather than 10+ higher oh and no more blessings + a time limit

The money has to come from somewhere So have a (PvP) server without
- packs
- hypers-
- bh's
- blassings
- oracles
but to make pwi also happy pay your monthly fee. I wonder how much $ players would be willing to pay.0 -

They are working slowly back to the old kind of gamepplay, but with packs. So the uber cash shoppers can gamble all their way to the boring top of level 100, and the free to play can do with less coin to get some decent gear ( AKA cheaper MP food, shards, BH wines )
Also pstones are good moneymakers and feed genies easier. I'm glad they removed the mirages from 3* gear because i always NPC'ed them anyway. Mirages come from level 100 BH's and will not rise in price. There are millions of mirages floating around and i can't even remember the day that i payed more then 14K for 1 in a catshop.
I like this game a little better then before packs came out. Before at level 90 it was really HORRIBLE to get a level, or even ANY piece of gear higher then TT90. why have 99 gold if noone can actually get it?
4 hour instances reboot? meh....for some squads i can imagine them doing a bit longer, but even then, why start an instance if you don't know you can finish it in time? in an bowling alley you can't say "i'll be back later, keep the lane free for me when i come back"
but only pay for 1 hour, and expect the alley to be free for 6 hours for when you return. That company just says: Suck it up and pay for another hour.
PvP? Even with low cash shopping like i do there are enough people that have +10 nirvana gear and still die like snow melting before a burning sun.I'm famous! i'm on ecatomb0 -

I see so many people just focusing on getting to 100, but I think there is alot more to do in this game.
I like exploring while I grind after finishing my quests before I level up (yup, i've only BHed once or twice), the graphics are gorgeous, heck - I have so many awsome screenshots i use them in my PC background b:shocked
Sometimes I like to just chill in Archosaur, Sanctuary, and other places, and muck around
with my factionees on voice chat.
I even sometimes head out into the level 80+ mob regions to test my kiting skills out, it sure is fun to die sometimes o.o
I even find pleasure in helping out newcomers, so you can find me around the starting area answering questions to people who have just began to play this game.
Even when I am not questing,grinding, or running around in dungeons there is always something to do.
I like your way of thinkin , s'pretty much how I like to thik I think (sometimes I roll with the rest of the foum sheep and go ragey, im ashamed of myself v.v) but I play this game to have fun, relax, talk to my international friends... and I love it, tis why im only level 80 after almost 2 years playing ^^;
aand it makes me sad when my friends say "we all quit pwi cuz of crappy economy" ... b:sad[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
