Disruptions of Attacking TW factions and rumours

Is it a coincidence to you all how TW attacking factions are disrupted and lose mass amounts of members.
From what I have heard, (not saying this is correct but from what I have heard)
BushidoX - Lost 30 LvL 90s
Warlocks - Lost 30 high lvl members and members on other occasion/s
Renegades - Repeated disruptions and loss of minimal members
Who else is on this list? (Post here if you have been disrupted)
Seems to me that higher lvls come in, gain the trust of other members, then spread total BS and get members to go to smaller/new made factions, just set up for the purpose of that. Oh, these new members seem great, help everyone, become loved, the try to sweep the carpet from under your factions feet. And make truly unfounded accusations.
In a previous encounter we lost about 7 players, some offered full TT gear and charms to go across.
Renegades have always been fortunate to lose a minimal amount of players in these disruptions.
Renegades are a faction that just want to enjoy the game, and provide an outlet for those who want help. We dont want to see some ppl (officers) just helping some while others have been totally left out in the cold. All we recently asked, was that officers who helped lower lvls in BHs, call out to the faction to help others (Dont think that's too much to ask) after receiving complaints of ppl missing out.
Renegades wont DIE, no, our resolve just becomes stronger when we are disrupted and we always bounce back. We are NOT folding, and keep recruiting. A fun but fair faction who looks after its members and protects them from the outside players who will tread on anyone to get what they want.
I have heard from different sources that some factions will do almost anything to help keep what they have got, and Divide and conquer their opponents.

I don't know about the other factions mentioned, but yes, Bushido did lose many of it's higher levels, and no, I don't believe it was due to some high level coming in and purposely disrupting things. I know where a lot of those who left Bushido have gone and it wasn't to some new, small faction.
I believe people reach a certain level in the game and are looking for more than they may be getting from their current faction. We want to go to a place where there are others at our level, where it is easier to find parties for the things we need to do because there are plenty of players in our own level range to do them with. If you are in a faction with a limited number of people your own level, it can be difficult to find parties to do BHs, TT runs, FC, etc. Also, in smaller factions, the lower levels look up to and expect the higher levels to do things for them.
Example: The last smaller faction I was in, I once saw someone shouting for a lower-level BH. I recommended going near the BH guy and shouting there for a party of people who also needed it. This person flat-out said, "But there are high levels here who could help me." Excuse me? Did I work my **** off for over a year to get to this level just so I could be at your beck and call? No sir.
The higher levels are not here merely to do everything for the lower levels. Joining a faction just to get help is pure selfishness. I don't mind helping out occasionally, but being told that I should help just because I'm a high level? Sorry, but **** you. I have my own things I need and if I spend all my time doing for everyone else, however will I get my own needs met?0 -
From almost 10 month of HDT i can tell you so far, that 80% of our members that reach level 90+ leave to EQ, Dyna or Cala at some point.
And yeah it basically happens to everyone except the factions owning a Territory; didnt get used to it by now?Originally written by Satchiko to me regarding old spice commercial :

@WillowGirl, you are so right!! Then, even when we help them, they get to lvl 90+ and leave to other facs (as Magiere said)..
I dont mind to help guildies but most of the times i feel like its a waste of time.. but oh well b:chuckle0 -

I think this really becomes a question for many people about where they want their end-game experiences. With several exceptions (for instance, you Mag), many seek out some kind of challenge of their skill, so that it might either be validated or refuted. In terms of end-game experience, the instances just aren't doing it. The level progression crawls to a halt, so you're left farming gear which is a very boring and tedious process.
Even if you've farmed your gear and want the very best for your character, you still want to test your progress. I guess that's why people want to TW.5.0 "Pure" 8jun Sage Clawrcher of Dreamweaver0 -

I can only speak for Bushido, but as Willow mentioned, we did lose a huge TON of high lvls at one point. But it didn't really end there, we're still losing members now and then. The positive thing is that we are still gaining more than losing, so.... we might be down, but not out of TW. It may take a while for us to rebuild, but Bushido is trying to get up there once again.
As for some higher lvl coming in and disrupting things... I haven't really witnessed that. At one point we lost a lot of people because of our ex leader exploding in rage and after that people has left for various reasons. Either it's Real Life, they're so high lvl they can't get things done here, left to help a friend, taking a break, RL relative wants you to do something else, etc, etc.
But as Magiere said, having territory is a major thing when it comes to holding people in. It's understandable, but.... I can't help but feel bit shameful for that as well. I'm personally still determined to help build a guild up to the map, not just join a pre-existing one in the map already and I know that most of the people we have now feels the same and I know most of the high lvl people in small factions feel the same.
The problem is, there's too fricking many small factions. There's simply no way that all of us tiny ones can make it when the amount of new players coming in is so small. The starter areas are pretty much empty at any given time.0 -

I was one of the first executors AND members of my fac InStyle, and during my time in here (and for a long while to come),a few members who we treated like family left as soon as they hit 80 or so to join EQ/Cala/Dyna.
We got a few in our late 60-70's who have been concidering leaving too, although I must admit it, I would never leave InStyle, as I couldnt imagine leaving all my close freinds behind, as I enjoy helping out the newcomers who join the game and factionb:cute.
Oh, I also have a question to TW experts- whatever happened to Bushido?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]<3 by Silvy

as for Bushido, if they have lost that many members to the other factions, you can understand why they would take a break to relevel their current members and take stock
additionally if i recall the majority of Bushido are over 18 and so have real lives and family, it may be that they also do not have as much time to commit to the game especially when they see friends who they have helped level jump ship for greener pastures. i can imagine it would be quite soul destroying if it happens often enough[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Doc, Bushido only recruits 18+ year olds, so yes, we have grandmoms, moms, dads, couples, even a whole RL family including mom, daughter, brother and daughters husband. Some are single around 20 something year olds still in school, like myself.
What happened is that Bushido pretty much fell to pieces after a victorious TW. Yes, we won, but our ex-leader then started insulting the squad he was leading and the whole faction. A lot of people left for this reason. After that, since we lost a lot of strength, we lost the land we held. After that we started losing those that just want to TW.
We are 'near' to be able to challenge Vanquish. I mean, pretty much all of us are 80+ in lvl and with full and complete gear, but we lack the numbers. So it's just a case of getting enough active people in, training them up enough and then try to butt our heads back in there. Of course it's not going to be easy and it will take an indefinate time. It's even possible that our leaders give up on hope and just lets go. At that point, if it ever happens I'm sure that majority of us will join our other Bushido brethren from the older days in Calamity.
But as long as there's hope, I'm not giving up and I'm willing to work hard to make things work again. ^^0 -
Well, unfortunately, it looks like Tal is going to stay with her new online "game" so she's not coming back. And, since she made me promise not to level or play without her (Nigello or Sabbat), I have moved to Archosaur for a fresh start (lvl 80 herc/nix veno ftw).
However, I do need to check in with Bushido tonight, so you may see me pop online for a bit.
By the way, what's this I hear of you in that faction... dammit, what's its name? Named after those axes or some sort of disaster... b:chuckle

I play this game almost from the start of this server, and to be honest, i didn't never care about other gulids. And i doubt that someone have ever do. PWI have a terrible town war system where only 2 % of server population participating in Town Wars. It's a pure pve game. The only '' action '' you can see in WC, where trolls spaming they self or whole gulid to heroes and dont know else. But more as trolling in wc..dosn't exist, because it's a pure pve game with verry bad town war system where gulids aren't that much interesting as by other more pvp orientated mmorpgs.0

well dreamweaver is a PVE server
u had a choice when u started playing on this server..
wasnt harshlands online the same day?
but pve is becoming boring, true...
pvp mode is a joke, you can do a full wq, chrono without meeting any white names, some are afking in OT, occationally some fishes come out of stealth for 2 seconds and hide for 10 minutes again
and TW is unavailable for most of us...
its tempting to leave your small faction and join one of the few active TW factions
but leaving your friends alone with all the newbies you invited? thank you -.-
*were trying to run a german-speaking lvl3 faction .,. but were not doing so well since our charismatic austrian leader left the game :P :Pi like potato0 -
So how many members are there in calamity and dynasty and all those TW factions? And do they all serve a purpose?! Or are they just roster riding the clan tag...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Ashura Tyrant you foul mouthed little boy! I must keel yew nao =30 -
There are anywhere between 170 - 200 members in Calamity, EQ and Dynasty each.
Some of the people are in those guilds for the fat paycheck, that is 100% guaranteed. Obviously this is especially true when it comes to Calamity. Some of the people want to be in the guild that owns it all, or in the guild that sticks it up to the biggest one
Calamity was once small too, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was still some there due to the "family" there they have.
There are various reasons why people are in those big factions...0 -

Maybe they join cos they think fat paycheck. do a Tw. then dont go TW again when they reliase they usually lose money on Tw. would explain our pretty bad tw attendances lately..
I wish I had plus from Tw pay.... but this really aint the case in cala. only the times when winning/losing quick with almsot no charm burn..I'm sorry for misspelling / mistyping and grammar b:surrender

Yeah, I've learned that TW pay, even in Cala, barely breaks me even with TW expenses. One war, a couple of weeks ago, I burned almost a whole PLATINUM HP charm b:cry TW pay that week didn't cover my expenses b:chuckle But it's worth it for all the fun b:victory
I could probably make twice my TW pay by selling all the herbs I use for all the apoth items I need to survive a bit in TW, but where's the fun in that? I'd rather live longer in TW than make money - if I'm only going in to die over and over, hence burning more and more charms, why bother going at all?
PWI is free-to-play, sure, but it really should be marketed as pay-to-win. And if you think joining Calamity for a fat paycheck is the answer to your money woes, think again. You can't go into TW unless you're prepared, so if you blow that fat paycheck on fashion, you won't be welcomed in TW if you can't afford a charm, so forget the next week's fat paycheck because you won't get one if you don't TW. Nothing in life is free, my friends.
Zumi, I wish you'd give Calamity a chance, you'd see that there's not many of us here for that "fat paycheck." I'm personally here for the friends, the sense of family, the great parties, and the epic TWs. The paycheck is a pittance compared to all of that.0 -

Theres also factions that have the exact same charmcosts, with the difference that they dont get a single coin for it.
So you do make coins of it.
In my opinion people leave to Cala for 2 reasons :
#1 TW (and a half for getting paid)
#2 and propably most common reason : having tons of other highlvls around to play with.
-> especially since i realised that more and more new ppl have very few friends in their level regionOriginally written by Satchiko to me regarding old spice commercial :

There are also other reasons like your current faction cannot accommodate what you need like people to do instances with(especially the delta culti) or that the leader in your faction kinda sucks(for example, not online much other than to do faction paperwork, not spending time to improve his own toon, and the factions felt like being run by other people.) Well, everyone has a real life, and if you cannot lead a faction, perhaps it is time to pass leadership to someone who has more passion and commitment to do so.
^ not directed at anyone btw
But as you can see, its like a vicious cycle where since there is no high level staying in a low level faction(as they always go to higher level factions), the low level faction will never be anything but a low level faction. This might change if we have more people reaching high levels than people who quit(so that when the high level factions are full, there is no place for them but the low level factions)
I feel that PWI is getting more quitters lately and less low level coming in( like spamming headhunter for a cleric for like 1 hour for bh 51 or bh 59) so I think the days of this server is kinda numbered. Thanks Chillum for the nice Sig.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Exactly
Some people have to farm their charm costs... and that be less coin to go to anything else to progress their character... Even if TW is just covering your expenses.. thats more coin in the same amount of time that your opposing factions didnt have to start with.

But yea you should be recruiting people who want to TW for the fun of it and not the pay. To me everytime we beat cala is b:dirty0 -
Money is always one of the first reasons. Younger generation also feel cool if they are in a strong..faction. I barely know someone who had join the strongest factions because they looking for more fun, wanna meet new people...
I have read 2 topics in the last days about strong factions on dream. and i quess it's everywhere the same. Both topics was about ''abuse, bullying,,..'' in a faction.
One topic was delated other was closed.
I quess some people don't even think of it, that such factions are often full of various freaks, which tend to loose the touch with realitly and after it when they actually discover that '' strong faction '' dosn't mean directly to be a good, warm..faction, they leave the faction or they stay for weekly cash or staying at last because they need help with quests, bh's, tts..whatever.0 -

Ya miss me attending most of em cala tws b:cute But I'd prob get toasted if I try now.0 -
Mindy and Heart, I know that not 'everyone' in Cala is for that, but if you said that 'nobody' is in there for the paycheck, I'd put you on a lie detector...
As for the paycheck not covering your cost... it does cover a lot more of the cost than it would, if say.... we took land again. The thing is, no matter how we look at it, Cala will always have the fattest paycheck in the foreseeable future.
And I've said it before and I say it again, if Bushido were to fall apart, Calamity would be my first choice to jump into. There's just too many friends in there for me to ignore.
But none of that deny the fact that there are people jumping to Cala for the paycheck, or for the epic name above their head. I don't think that can be denied.0
