Server Lag

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing extreme bouts of lag. At login screen, when I check the other servers, most of them have very low pings to me (74 ms and lower), but raging tide has sometimes like 3000ms and the connection is always high.
It has become almost imposible to play. Any insights? BTW, Im on a 1meg connection
