Real quick and short here. Is there some reason they do maintenence RIGHT in the MIDDLE OF THE RAID? I dont' do it yet but when i do it'd be NICE to not be kicked out / off the game halfway through the raid......b:surrender

    them wanting to go home early is more important then us farming scrolls and such

    wel they could do it EARLIER, or another day they DON"t have a event that's only once a week at the same time. Honestly, i'd like to see some official response on this one. I've NEVER seen a mmo company kick people off during a scheduled event EVERY WEEK. ya i've seen emergency maint. during one.... but this? lol

    yah we tried to get them to stop doing this...a year ago.. deaf ears.

    heh... well they just pushed maintenance up an hour back to the time it used to be. B4 the Raid was 11-3 am EST. Maint. was 2-4 am EST. So they'd kick us off while we still would have an hour to hit stuff in there.

    NOW..... they're kicking us off at 1 am.... to 3 am. Even if we got back on right away.... it's over. now we lose TWO hours in there. In fact now we only HAVE 2 hours. Maybe less.... the Pup actually says it starts at 11:30 est when people have said it starts at 11 actually (and i checked last week the option to go in was up already b4 11:30).

    Either way.. either START maint. at 6 pm EST (9 pm pacific), or start it AFTER the Raid, or do it on Thursday. or here's a wild idea..... change the time of the Raid to the middle of the day.

    o btw i sent frankie a pm to take a look at this thread. Since he seems to be able to get the devs to get off their collective arses, maybe he can do something bout this too.....

    OK, I'll admit I didn't respond when you first posted because I don't care that they end it early.

    From my experience, the first 15 minutes are a free-for-all where even a solo player can manage to grab 3-4 relatively unprotected chests. After that, the next 15 minutes are battles between various squads to claim groups of heavily protected chests.

    Then the next 15 minutes consists of people randomly swimming around trying to find chest clusters that have gotten overlooked. At the 45 minute mark, though, the Temple has been pretty much picked clean. At that point the event is usually just a bunch of people arguing with each other over who PK'd who "unfairly".

    So personally, I've always felt like the event is pretty much over after 45 minutes anyway. Beyond that it's just a place to PvP without losing Guardian Scrolls or Equipment.

    Yeah, this is a QQ post without reason.

    After the first 10 minutes all of the easy chests have long been picked and squads are working to get the more difficult chests. After 20 minutes almost everything is gone but the most difficult chests. At 45 minutes, I'm pretty sure all the chests have been dug. They're usually gone by this time on LC.

    Luixo If you even bothered reading anything here i said when it started. and Michael.... I'm so sorry i haven't actually gotten higher and tried doing this yet to have known how fast it's actually over. Sorry i assumed there'd be something to do in there as long as it was availabe for the FOUR HOURS it runs, and not a measly 30-45 minutes. This wasnt' a "QQ" (like u children like to talk) thread, I was kinda hoping more people would **** about being kicked off DURING a set event (kinda like how we b!tched about horns), and then maybe something would be done about it.

    Actually, I know exactly what should be done about it.

    What should be done is that people who haven't actually done the event yet, but decide to make threads complaining about it and demanding changes, should be forced to do the event and stay in until it ends.

    Then, after an hour or so of absolutely nothing to do, they too will start eagerly looking forward to the start of maintenance so that they can leave. No more pointless complaints, and everybody wins!

    Even though I haven't done the raids ever, I know that it's stupid and pointless to QQ over something that you haven't done/experienced. While I am well aware that I am reiterating what was said before, I think you should have waited until after you ran a raid before QQing about when maintenance takes place during the event.

    In the end, I feel your thread is stupid and pointless.

    ANd i feel both your responses were stupid and pointless.

    What if there was a night no one actually went in there and 2 hours after it started, someone decided to go see if there was anything left. O wait... can't then... we've been kicked off the game already. During a event with a SET TIME. Do you know any other MMO that purposefullly does that EVERY week (and not just a emergency maint. to fix something quick)? I don't... That's the damn point. Michael in his usual rude obnoxious way actually had a valid point, but whether it's ALWAYS picked clean or not b4 we're booted wasnt' the damn point. Btw i HAVE been in there a couple times. heh I was trying to figure it out, yet Enrage as usual thinking the game belongs to them wouldnt' let anyone near the npc. but that's a whole 'nother matter...

    maintence though a even is their opinion of beeing funny i guess

    whats more funny is the times they hold the events.. their all for american time zone yet they call the game international..
    it doesnt rly seem international for me when events starts at 4~6 am for europeans and for some other zones its even earlier, make it couple hour later or so.. nien event is for most of europe at 1 am and 6 am.. TW starts 5 am mostly. still dunno why im so crazy to put my alarm for it even b:surrender i like the 9:00 or the 14:00 tw (pwi time) more.

    well... idk bout the rest of that but the GM's run the events. they dont' stay up all night and they're based in California lol (or somewhere on the west coast of the US).

    all events in pwi are based on server time, yes gms can start them on their own, but server does it by itself, and, again, about the international part, servers are in the US therefore event times are for the US, the international tag just means anyone can download and play it if they so choose

    werent server times back in the day EST(LC/HT) at least TW now is early early morning and not middle of night for euro times

    Nobody is flaming you. Your argument is just funny, that's all. When people make arguments that are really odd then complain nobody is responding to them they shouldn't be surprised when the responses they do receive are somewhat incredulous.
