Teaching Water Pet skills?

I looked and I saw a old topic but that was just taming one near your lvl to kill mobs underwater. But isn't there any way you can teach or lvl up a underwater pet skills or it not possible? it would be a shame I couldn't teach my Mermaid any skills b:sad

    I have been leveling up a water pet. As far as I can see water pets are just like land and air pets. They can be trained skills just like the other pets and they level just like other pets. Right now I have been having a lot of quests where I needed to kill things in the water so I was glad I had a pet I could trust to tank (my turtle) since I am squishy squishy.

    It can be a pain to level a water pet because they can only be summoned in the water so you have to kill water mobs to level them whereas your air pets can kill on land and air and your land pets can be leveled in the cube.
