Hello foxes,

yesterday i reached lvl61 and i'm trying to figure out which TTs (in generally content not only 1-1) i can solo in squad mode and which i should do in solo mode. Which bosses i can't do at all neither in solo- nor in squad-mode? Is it even worth to do TT solo/squad mode due the horrible prices of TT mats atm..?

I got finally my herc last weekend and he is same lvl as me. Arcane build.

Thank you in advance b:thanks

First off: Gratz on getting your herc!! :D

TT1-1 is definitely an easy one to start with, albeit mat prices are pretty low atm. The main concern with solo'ing any TT is the aoe bosses, and amount of mobs you have to get past when trying to get to the next boss. The Drummer boss (i dunno y i dont know his name) has a bad physical aoe which is really rough on venos without a cleric. I myself am not a pure magic build, and have an hp charm to better survive the aoe, so its not much of a problem. Your best bet for handling these aoe bosses is to have plenty of hp food, and if necessary, an hp charm. Fox form is also good for reducing the amount of damage u take from that aoe.

When you need to head to another boss, another problem arises. There are halls FULL of mobs, that your herc will have a hard time obtaining aggro of all of them w/o getting to really low hp first, or having you aggro the mobs. They have long range attacks, so they run everywhere and its quite a pain to chase your herc all over the place trying to heal it. You can lure the mobs out one by one, but they run pretty fast, so you're bound to get hit a few times before you can summon your herc back out to regain aggro. The catacomb archers in 1-x are really hard hitting, 800-1000 damage even with my TT90 arcane armor loaded with garnet stones for phys defense, and they love to run away from your pets.

The herc can handle 1-1 easily at level 61, solo or squad mode, but i didnt try to solo TT1-2 squad mode until level 70 at least, mainly because the Drummer boss is significantly harder, as well as the aurum (Bond 007) boss down below in his pit. I wouldnt recommend trying 2-x until at least level 80. Cosmoforce hits especially hard.

Hmmm i cant think of anything else atm, but i may elaborate later. :) best of luck!

    1-1 60 - 1-2/2-1 70 (avoiding Soulbanisher-Wurlord-Drummer) - 1-3/2-2 80 (Avoiding: Soulbanisher-Wurlord-Drummer-Cosmo-and feng if u've not a good squad with u) - 3-1 85 - 2-3 88-90 (Avoiding: Cosmo-Belial)

    :)

Well, if u've no lag, and a lot of channelling, u can easily tank bosses also some lvls unders lvls i said. But do it alone will take too much time.

For example: I tanked bosses in 2-2 at 78, and some venos tank 3-1 bosses from 79.

But if u're doing tts just for ur armor, wait the lvl u can enter in it, and u wont have problems in tanking it.

Or she does not heal enough hp at the same time. I can tank wurlord 2-3 at my level, with Herc's standard skills, however I am able to heal 90%+ of the herc's hp every heal.

Sometimes the trade-off beween brute force healing (low/no channeling but massive heal amount) and channeling healing tilts in favour of brute force and some luck. And it is much cheaper....

    hello again :)

Thank you everyone for your kind replies. Well..now i m lvl65 and can tank chin in squad mode TT1-1 without any problem. Thing is...i seen a video with lvl62 herc and lvl63 Veno who could tank the drummer in squad mode. I tried it myself but i cant heal it fast enough as drummer does on dmg. She prolly uses some channel stuff...i have myself only a necklace with -3%. I see on video its a normal armor and TT60. I have same weapon and it doesnt have any channel. So....any ideas how she does it? i m pretty much clueless except the fact she might have higher mag. i have atm 80 vit and 269 mag...hope i do everything ok...

    Thank you in advance :)

That video is edited and pieced together. It probably took many tries and many deaths. Also, I noticed it skipped most of the fighting when drummer was above 1/2 health. This is when drummer does the most damage to the herc. I suspect she either failed many times during that phase or had help during that phase. I would be highly suspicious that a lvl 63 veno can tank drummer without help in squad mode unless it was by luck (no big consecutive hits from drummer during 1st half of fight).

You're better off waiting till the late 60s. (Getting a cleric buff and chan gear would help a lot.)

The veno in that video made a guide about soloing TT with herc. You can find it using search function. She states she had -12% channeling and the genie skill that increases channeling for a few seconds while killing the boss. She also states she died 18 times before she finally managed to kill it. You can find the guide using search engine it's the one i'm currently following.

Drummer's main challenge is when he casts, he delivers a high magic hit followed almost immediately by a melee hit. If both do near max damage, your herc is dead. One way around this is to get lots of channeling equipment and hope your heals land in between those two hits.

My personal suggestion is to get a zeal genie, dump a lot of points into mag, some into vit, and get it earthquake 10. When you start the fight, make sure you're in earthquake range of the drummer. Then whenever you see it start casting and your genie has enough energy, fire earthquake to interrupt it. With a decent genie, you should be able to interrupt 2/3rds or 3/4ths of his casts this way. That will significantly increase your chances of getting him down to 50% without your herc dying, after which he just AOEs instead of nukes your herc. His AOE does a lot less damage than his single target nuke, so at that point you can just switch to spam healing.

This works a lot better with two people taking turns interrupting (you can interrupt 100% of his casts for 5+ minutes this way, which should be more than enough time to get him to 50%). But if you insist on soloing, then you take what you can get.
