Well i'm making a Wizard alt and this is what I plan on for lvl 90 just wanted people's opinions.

seems like a decent build.. few things I'd change

first would be your cape, being that it refines as LA.. you should be getting more hp out of your cape than any other one piece of your gear. I'd personally shoot for a wing trophy cape (the 216 pdef x2 one). Other alternatives would be cloudcharger (pretty expensive), cape of elite leather (lvl 96) or just a level 87 cape with ideally 2 hp bonuses. I would at least match the rest of your set (+5) and if you had any more orbs/tishas etc I'd push that being that you get more hp per refine than any of your other equipment.

I'd also switch out all of your garnets with citrines.. I know this is personal preference but I generally shoot for equal hp and pdef (self buffed). On top of that, lvl 11 stone barrier and end game gear generally will give you more than enough pdef, you will be wanting the hp.

I'm not very familiar with your belt, but being that it is frost, I'm going to assume it is fairly expensive (if its cheap then disregard the next sentence or two). The past belts are really good, and being that you get them as a quest reward that you'll be doing anyway.. I'd at least keep them in mind as an alternative.

Your helm is decent (not amazing), but again I'm guessing fairly expensive (if I'm wrong just disregard the following). Finding an OHT helm with pdef/hp stats is pretty cheap and can easily be better than that HH helm. Just something to keep in mind.

I also noticed your weapon was only +5, which is ok.. but most wizards refine their weapon up a little above the rest of their gear. We are a DD class after all, the more damage you do the more useful you are. You also have 1% crit -.- You look like you are focusing more on channeling which isn't bad, its personal preference.. but you might consider focusing more on crit. Your build has -21% channeling and 1% crit, if you were to switch out both your rings (or one or however you wanna do it) you could end up with 5% crit and still have -9% channeling. I really doubt you'd notice much of a difference between the 12% channeling, but critting 5 times more often would make a huge difference.

Anyway, your build seems pretty decent.. most my suggestions are more based on personal preference, but nothing is really sticking out that is horrible. Good luck with your mage :P

you might want to try the attendence ring instead of that ring of scoorching heaven. It's verry cheap for 3% crit (as in, free), and some decent attack/hp

That -6 channel on ring just sucks.
get something with HP add-ons. I had two at that lvl with 130 HP each, wasn't hard to find them.

i made a few changes :d


a mixed tome vit+mag is more then 10 stat points

taking the +6 of the pants to your weapon

a good and prolly cheap headgear (less socket stones anyone?)


idk if the boots are a good idea, especially if u have the money for 95 heavenrage boots
95 gold quest reward belt pwns, (u wont be 90 a long time...)

i think you need more hp i was allways told that it is good to have a balanced p def and hp
