Hi,i'm planning to make a veno and i would like to know a few of thing, hope you'll help.

First,i'm not going to buy/save for fenix and hercules. Said that wich one pet is the best on air, water, earth and grindind (so high DPS for fast kills)? I saw the guide but there aren't informations about the new tideborn's pets.

Is the heavy armor build 3 str - 2 mag per lvl?

Thank you in advance :-)

If youre new, dont go for heavy armor. You need 3 mag every lvl to equip same lvl weapon. Damage is probably more important than def in the earlier levels anyway. You also need alot of extra stats from gear. Withc is just really hard to obtain at the lower levels. Its in general nothing for sale in AH, and you end up using either some half okay quest rewards and time searching.

The "best" pets are MAgmites/Glacial walker for tanking, and Scorpions for land DD (I think? Never bothered to use those bugs) and best DD pet in is Petite Sawfly.

If you want to use armor, you could always use LA. I used it from the beginning, and restated to HA later on. It works okay, but low HP and in general medicore def. It still saved me a couple of times where other arcane venos died. Even if they where a bit higher lvl. LA give you some str to get melee damage up(fox form) but its not too good for melee, since the damage is still low. LA does however give better crit chances than HA, and is in my opinion the "better" veno build to go Demon with. Thats just a matter of taste ofc.
No I dont have a herc, I AM the herc! b:mischievous

    ↑this

and from what i can see, ur on a pvp server, it will be a pain in the **** if u dont have a nix there.

so,better go play on a PvE server be4 u reach high lvl and get pissed off by random pkers.

HA build is actually for PvP only, and easy to build at lv90+. LA and AA is much better.

    i dunno much about pet...b:surrender

Yes i'm on pvp server but that's not a problem, cause i want to make this veno just as money make and to solo TT (that's why i asked about heavy armor), air and water pets are just for fun :-P

This will be the first time i'll use a magical char,so don't know much about the stats needed (i have experience only whit assassins and blademasters).

I friend told me that u need lvl 78 to solo 1-3 (she tanked for me the 1-3 solo, and she is 76,but to do it all alone she said the 78 is a must)

My friend is arcane, and i saw some problems whit the mobs when they come in more than 1,so i prefer to have more phy def.

Is it better to shard garnet + citrine or go heavy (maybe light,to give more points to the magic)?

Build for heavy/arcane veno is: get as much +stat (mostly str, but also dex and mag; vit's purely optional) and -req equipment as you can, then adjust your stats as needed to equip the equipment. You need 2.5 str and .5 dex per level for heavy armor, and 3 mag per level for magic weapons. That comes to 6 per level, and you only get 5...

Well... that sounds like someone without experience on squshies, summoners in particular.

I must admit that I've never been in TT, so this just general. In general, though, unless you standing at the entrance (i.e you can't move backwards), you should always be able to lure a single monster out of a group, so there should NEVER be more than one coming at you. And that one will be taken care of by the pet.
[ Note: you can't lure a boss away from minions. You can, however, lure minions away from the boss. Usually works just as well ]

Outside dungeons (and I don't play a lot inside) the pet can easily tank 2-3 monsters, maybe more at higher levels, although you might get a hit or two until it's all set up. However, I'm only doing it that way to speed up things so I don't have to relocate the monster if another one spawns "too close", I just go multi-monster tanking. Sometimes I skip the luring too, and engage a group of two.

Still, I've never done that in a dungeon that was even remotely near my level. As monsters don't respawn, I've got all the room in the dungeon behind me to lure, and I can clear rooms one monster a time without any need to be particulary fast --- anything that I kill stays dead.
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

HA is for 90+ only. At 90+, you can wear HH90 gear which for most HA venos is your end-game gear if you plan on wearing a decent weapon (i.e. get something better than a Requim Blade). At 90 you can also equip Mantle of Ghost Lord as well as a few other things like Sky Demon's Pearl and Mogwai Belt that help you achieve that stat points needed to properly go HA. Remember that the only good reason a PK veno would go heavy armour is for the higher HP when the gear is heavily refined (i.e. more than +7) and preferrably well refined magic rings (the CoA rings are best here if you can afford - otherwise you're stuck with Demon Panther rings). If you can't afford to refine your HH90 HA set past +7, arcane with pdef shards will provide far better survivability and a lot more flexibility in gear choice.

Before 90, AA is best if you're intending to level as fast as possible, and LA is good if you plan on PKing along the way.

Seeing as you plan to play on a PK server, my only recommendation is to start PKing early with a sawfly and not rush to buy a nix. Only that way will you properly learn how to PK as a veno so that, by the time you hit 90 and can afford stuff like restating HA and buying a nix, you won't be a clueless "send-pet-and-run" "PKer".

that's not even not quite right, it's actually completely wrong. you can lure bosses directly in most cases. only very few are directly linked to the adds (like for example farren).
another way to lure in tight spots is to use Tame, so your pet is standing next to you to intercept as soon as necessary.

If minions follow the boss's movements (all 3 FB19 bosses, Farren, Calcid, Hercule, Florafang, Viriddis, Suzerix, Jewelscalen, Gigantakong, Bloodraged Cadaver, Haggist, Bolden Goldwing... might be some more) then you can't lure the boss away from the minions. If the minions are immobile (Qingzi, FB59 bosses for instance) or wander independently of the boss (Fushma and Rankar, for instance) then you can lure the boss away from the minions.
