Would it be worth it?

I came back to the game after a break, and found all this new pets with the tideborn expansion,^____________^ b:dirty and read around the forums some are very good, like the G.Walker and the flying pet. Also the Ocean Chanter as a all rounder pet.


Now I have a lvl 73 golem, a sawfly in its late 60's, and a Mechrab (sp?) in its late 60's I use as a general pet.

I am arcane build, and I play PVE. So would it be worth it to train up these pets from beginning to my lvl? or should I just a stick with what I got?


Also I am interested to hear what people use as a lurer when they don't have a kowlin, or too poor like me to get a nix or other rare pet? I have a snow hare, and considering using that.

G.Walker is worth leveling up, it's a good pet (you can use Cube Room 4 to level it..loads of 1-shot ? mobs that give full exp to pet).

I'm not too sure about new flyer over sawfly.

Personally, i never liked Kowlins much and i think luring with it is overrated. You can do just as well of a job with a ranged pet like Eldergoth Marksman or a Cactopod, Petalii mobs are almost as fast as Kowlin and are free..but 90% of the time you can just pull with your skill Tame Pet which is usually the fastest way and doesn't require you to unsummon and re-summon your pet.

I had the same problem when i came back to the game a few months back and at the end I decided to take the time and level GW and Dark wanderer. GW is definitely worth it, especially if you got no plans to be farming for herc any time soon. I do quite a lot of TT runs with squads where tank is good 5-8 lvls lower than I'm so Darky works really well as a DD pet there (have to turn off bash etc. otherwise pet pulls agro). Otherwise a scorpion with lots of bash skills will outdamage dark wanderer so the decision whether to level DW will depend on what you want for DD pet.

For flying pets - skatefish comes with worse skills than sawfly so would cost more to upgrade due to having to dump some skills first / get new ones...on the other hand it doesn't make annoying noises every 5 seconds...

As far as puller - I'm using either eldergoth marksman (leveled up to around 73 now) or ninetail fox (lvl 85 normal mob) depending on what I'm pulling.

I was using a GW on an Veno alt HA that I have but I got kind of tired of it as to no bash.I much prefer something with bash or even flesh ream to the base skill of the GW.I traded it in for a scorp.

It all depends if you feel like lvling these pets up as you already got fully lvled pets already.I would stick with what you have maybe trade in the mecrab sp for scorp or eldegroth markman/shooter.It doesn't matter what you use to lure even the golem is good.

I never thought of using tame pet to lure does the mob have to be tamable?

Nope, just cast it on whatever and watch that mob come towards you.

Same thing happened to me here. I have a Crystalline Magmite and I loves it.b:cute I'm trying to save for a Herc. However, I don't want to go get a GW and train it from level 19 or 17 (Don't remember which lvl is it exactly) to my level. I am not a high level, but it will take time since I don't play during week days.

and according to my meek knowledge, it doesnt matter which pet you use to lure...

To lure, ranged pets are usually far more efficient than fast pets. I use the level 89 cactus, but the Eldergoth works as well. I have a fox just for its tails.

Keep ur sawfly..lvl it up by those lvl 100 mobs outside tiderage city(im not sure what name was).
i use sawfly, keep lvl it, good grind pet w much dg:o- nice for pking

sawfly w bleed lvl 5 + claw cost 10m - it do same dg as unbuffed nix
nix will cost 75m+..so save 65m:P

lol lure pet easy to get just tame shieet pet and use it as lure O_O thats it.

Tank pet:/ well i hate tank pets..and they do love dd-pets..So i have never use em..but Cub(little bear) is good:P my sis used 1 before she got herc..used it from lvl 20-85 it come out w good skills.

i got those pets:

Kowlin used since lvl 60 - dd pet on tt bosses
Sawfly my smaxy pk pet:P use it alot for grinding.
little bear lvl 75 LOl i use it as lure pet..xD
scope LOl that 1 how start at lvl 2..its lvl 75b:laugh- use it..well just to show him off and he got good name hsi name is FOOK_OFF
