so im on Raging Tide and i hate it here because everyone is selfish and nevr wants to help unless they are getting FREE EXP..or thier own stuff done.

I freely go around helping people because i love it and i know what its like to not have anyone help u (obviously)

Raging Tide is a piece of shiit....PROVE ME WRONG IF YOU MUST....I have world chat for help, faction chat for help, hell i even ran around with the LVL 73 venomancer seeking squad... on my damn head.

So i need a majority of votes on whats the best server.. i have plans to move.....im fed up of getting no help. im fed up of having to say stuff like "im willing to join ur faction if u help me"...blah blah blah.....

SO WHAT IS THE BEST SERVER..and dont tell me becasue u are there...i want experince and explanations. i hate raging tideb:cryb:cryb:cryb:cry

and i dont care about archosaur ---too new = not long enuff time to see if it has more helpful, unselfish, willing, caring people.

I think all servers are in general the same. Harshlands is okay, i wouldnt leave it. it's full of stupid ppl though...

I was on HT at first, moved to DW when it opened and haven't regret it one single day.

For me DW had a better community, more helpful and fun people and I found a nice faction early on in which I still play.

I don't know about the other servers, but DW gets my vote over HT.

Tojop - Dreamweaver

I like Dreamweaver. Quality factions (my experience) and quality BH squads for my alts (4x-7x, plus a relatively easy time getting cleric buffs when I need em. That's as good a measure as any, I'd say. DWFTWKTHXBAI b:victory

You have to come to the understanding that HT is the oldest server the players are there to have fun and play PW, other servers are full of cash shopper who oracled their levels and are worth jack ****, come to HT

No matter where you are, you'll find them:

Cash Shop Hoarders.

Oracle Spammers.

All the poor people who sit in the middle of Archosaur, calling for BH's. (69's, 51's, 59's, and 39's being the most common.)

Campers, Gankers, and Faction wh0res.

Poor users who don't spend a dime, work hard, and get nothing.

Rich users who are slowly turning this game into nonsense.

Noobs using Hyper Stones as crutches. (those of you 80+ I understand. The rest of you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.)

Those who abuse the stealth mode. (You know who you are.) <.<

10 year old kids who think that, because they're level 80+ they suddenly run the game and thus the entire world.

80+, 90+, and 95+ factions who beat down ruthlessly on random players.

Unfortunately, they are EVERYWHERE. There's not a server you can escape to. I've played harshlands as several high level characters. (this is my new 'main'.) I've watched it evolve for a while. I still think it's a decent place.

It's not the severs that are the problem (though some are better than others) it's the people in them, and the problems listed above. I do like the Archosaur server, though. If I actually had patience to make another Psychic, I'd stay there. (But I don't.)

:S Don't want it to sound like I'm QQing or anything....but let's face it, things have obviously gone downhill in all the servers, even the new ones. I blame the above.

Seriously, it is amazing. I never had any issue with getting help in anyway, tried to be on RT for awhile, but yeah. There just is something about DW

I play Raging Tide. How do you get help doing stuff? You make friends and help each other out. You have to build connections, i never have to go outside of my faction/friends list for help.

As for greedy... yes lump them together as greedy i'm sure everyone is.

Let me tell you my personal experience on Raging tide. Someone made me a 99 skill book just b/c they loved me, someone gave me a gryphon mount just because they loved me. Someone gave me 5 of my tt99 mats just because they loved me, and i have helped them and given them gold mats. I am/was one of the highest levels on the server with no one to come kill bosses for us. For 90 percent of stuff in this game it is helpful for everyone who comes. BH's CAN be done easily by those who get them.

Stop QQING and being a noob. And remember kids the grass is greener on the other side.

Don't forget Sanctuary is the second oldest anyway. I would say most are there to have fun and there are helpfull people on it.You just need to ask although I am little shy on this.

Agreed. You have to find your place on any server which you will be comfortable with. There, you'll find the help you need, the friends that'll keep you on this God-forsaken game, and good times and memories.

Otherwise, it'll feel this way no matter where you go.

Sounds to me like your just QQing to be honest. Did it ever occur to you that these "selfish" and whatever you said people have their own things to do? It's amazing how many people think I exist to help them. If I helped even 10% of the people that asked me too help I would have no time to myself.


Stop asking people for things they don't need. There is no boss or bounty hunter that can't be done by people at the level where they get the quest.

GL with some culti bosses, unless you're a barb with pet clerics. Not everyone is in a decent faction - you kow that, because you're from RT too.
Personally I got what I needed just fine, but I know lots of ppl who have problems getting things done the proper way and have to resort to asking higher lvl ppl for help.

I've loved Arch since joining it, and I've always have found help, but that's mostly because of the faction I'm in. But the population is smaller I think, and it's very difficult to find people for, BH. Whenever I try to random squad for a BH it takes forever.

For your needs? I would go something a bit older. I was on Sanctuary before and I could always find help. And I wasn't really in very good guilds. So I would say they're a very good choice.

As I used to be a high level player as far as my guild was concerned, my entire day went like this:

Log on, get asked to DPS for BH/FB/HH, do it, pick up my dailies, get asked to DPS or help on a quest, do my dailies, go on lowbie HH and burn charm for mats I can't use and don't want, then run GV and reply to ten million "pls u hlep me" tells as I'm running my rebirth.

Low level players seem to think that we don't have things to do ourselves b:surrender

The worst is when I'm PvPing in secret passage, it's insane.


Me and some level 95 mage fought for 10 minutes and during the fight my entire chat screen was filled with "Rawrgh you can do Quingzi?" "Rawrgh you can do dismal?" and I got at least 30 random squad invites. Because obviously the barb wearing level 90 gear fighting someone is there because he wants to do BH29, obviously.

Running through west arch I get tons of people asking me to help with random bosses and, more than anything, Bounty Hunters. I don't see why everyone asks the level 90 to do BH39/51. I do a few bosses occassionaly for people if I'm bored and in the area. Killed the bosses at Orchid Temple countless times cause I would go there to PvP and no one else would be there.

Fortunately I'm only average level in my guild so if someone asks me to help on a TT or BH it's usually either a TT I can make money off of or a BH that I need.

OP sounds quite needy. My server I wouldn't say is exactly helpful, but I guess it just depends on what faction you get into when you start a server. That or the friends you make. My friends help me out and I help them out when needed. I guess the OP just hung out with the wrong crowd and such. Especially having to say "I'll join your faction if you help me with X". That's the worst reason to join a faction IMHO. And of course any faction would say "yes, we're helpful, we will help you with this" if it's a non TW faction because they want more members.

Just stick in RT and find friends through doing quests, squad with people, chat with them, and eventually you'll get a solid friend base that will be willing to help you out in the future. And no, joining something and automatically asking "help me with X" will NOT get you help. Because other people have their own things to do too.

I'm fairly new to PWI (started playing around december 15th of 2009) and dreamweaver has been the only server i've played, and the only one i have chars into, yet i like it so far, i think PvE servers have a certain edge over PvP ones when it comes to a friendly community, because PvP is OPTIONAL, no one is gonna force you to go white if you don't want to, you don't have to join TWs unless you feel like it (and it's a lot of fun so there's no real reason not to go TW), and overall people won't just randomly pick on you unless you're white named, and in that case it was your own choice

However i can see the point on people not wanting to help unless they get something in return, why? because we hate noobs! i've been to many, many fail BH squads (less when i started to do only faction squads) where the cleric refused to heal because he wanted to DD, where the barb was unable to hold aggro and the boss re-targeted to me, where i was the main tank and the DDs said they didn't care about the fact i do not have aggro-generating skills and they announced they would go all-out right from the start, and if they died it was my fault! you can see i do not want to go thru all that unless of course i get something for me as well, repairs are not free, exp i lose if i die is not free either, and on top of losing cash and exp i get ungrateful noobs saying i fail?

Also with the new BH system, some people takes UP TO 20 MINUTES (yes 20 minutes, i'm not joking) to go back to archo, take the new BH and come back because they have a +1 aerogear and don't want to pay the teleporting stone, needless to say that makes BHs terribly slow and boring, i don't want to spend my sometimes limited playing time (everyone, or at least most of us have a real life that needs attention) waiting for someone to come back to the instance, which is why i always clarify when i'm helping on lower lvl BHs that we're doing it in a row, if someone wants to leave and is able to come back before we kill the next boss then be my guest, but don't complain if you missed him

Of course i help friends, both from real life and from my friend list, but that's a different story, it's a help-me help-you relationship where we both get benefits, and of course stuff like TT or FC benefits everyone, however helping random people is not always a good idea, since you might end up with a headache
