relateing to my build

currently I am useing a build i got off PW Wiki so far I like it its been rather great
the build is:

7dex , 2 str, 1 vit =every 2 levs

I found it gave me great damage, decent hp, and str for armour
so far its worked very well

but at lev 20 I noticed
that I am 4str points behind the next light armour
atm thats not bad only 3levs at lev 23 I can use it...

but if its a 3 lev diffrence now what would it be later, 6?,10?even higher?
Should I alter my build to geta tad more strength? or should I wait it out?

(current total with bonuses is:
Str:23 Vit:21 Mag:5 Dex:85
(5 points to spare)

if yes how should I alter it?

    The light armor requirements need 4 more strength than your level. Keep doing what you're doing, but increase your strength on the next level to get that mark first.

    I prefer pure dex though

    Eh, followng that build you shouldn't be behind in str at all since LA needs only 1 str every level (2 every 2 levels). Seems to me as if you forgot to add str a couple times.

    From the build you mentioned you should have 24 str, 15 vit, 5 mag, and 71 dex without any bonuses from gear (or somewhere around there b:avoid).

    You're slightly off your build. Remember at lvl 1 you have 5 str. Thereby at 1 str per lvl from lvl 1, you should have 24 str, not 23. Thereby at lvl 23 you'd have 27 str, exactly what you need for any lvl 23 LA.

    Any build thats 1 per lvl, is actually [1 per (level - 1) + 5]
    likewise a 1/2 lvl stat is actually [1/2 per (level - 1) +5]
    or your final 3-1/2 per lvl should be [7/2 per (level - 1) +5]

    You're actually only counting gains from lvl 2 instead of lvl 1 & then adding in the 5 at level 1. Gear requirement progressions facter this 5 at lvl 1 in when the devs designed the stat requirements & progressions.

    Except lvl*x+(level+4) is entirely inaccurate.

    Forinstance, HA is 2.5 str per lvl. for lvl 70 (for instance);
    level*x+(level+4) = 70*2.5+(70+4) = 175+74 = 249.

    Even if you meant level*x+4 (what i think you meant);
    level*x+4 = 70*2.5+4 = 175+4 = 179

    But
    x*(level-1)+5 = 2.5*69+5 = 172.5+5 = 177.5

    The Str req for lvl 70 HA is 177, not 249 or 179.

    As well as my formula exactly follows the progression you put stats in as you lvl;
    Lvl 1 = 5 > Lvl 2 = 7 > Lvl 3 = 10 > Lvl 5 = 15 > Lvl 7 = 20 > Lvl 9 = 25
    Lvl 11 = (2.5*10)+5 = 30 > Lvl 61 = (2.5*60)+5 = 155 > Lvl 70 = (2.5*69)+5 = 177[.5]

    Note: the above follows the progression of an example of something not 1 per level stats. The same will apply for any other gear thats off of the 1 per level stat requirement.

    So while [x*(level-1)+5] might seem slightly more cumbersome, its the exact stat progression for all cases.
