    There's two different levels that affect who you can see and who you can't: Stealth Level and Awareness Level. If you're not an assassin with no awareness pots, your Awareness Level is equal to your level. However, assassins have skills that add to stealth and awareness levels for themselves. One passive skill can raise their stealth level by 20 when it's maxed. IIRC, the stealthing skill itself also adds up to 10 to your stealth level when you're using it.

    Simply put, if your awareness level is equal to or higher than the stealth level, you can see them. But assassins have skills to boost their stealth level, so you have to be higher level depending on the level of those skills.

    Let's put it simple, as a non-sin (urself). Your detection lvl is same as yours so technically u can see any sin exactly your lvl, however.. that'll rarely be the case when you face a sin using stealth.
    As they can raise their stealth lvl by two factors;
    - The stealth skill itself: every lvl invested in it raise their stealth lvl by 1.
    - Cat like tread: passive skill every lvl in it increases stealth lvl by another 2added to the original stealth skill lvls.

    So a sin lvl 70 with say lvl 5 shadow walk, can't be seen by less than a lvl 75+,
    If ya for instance add 5 Cat like tread lvls to it, the 70 sin can't be seen by less than a lvl85+.

    just wanted to clarify this bit as it may appear confusing to some. the 70 sin with 5 stealth levels WILL be seen by a 75 player but not a 74. and for the adding of 5 cat-like tread levels, an 85 player will also see the sin but not an 84
