All day while reading the forums there have been those annoying banner ads that shout at you when a page loads. "CONGRWSHULASHINS U'VE WIN"

Anyone else having this issue? Pretty annoying.
Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    It may be due to the Web Browser that you are using.

    Ads are good with me,

    Noisy adds not so much, im playing while on forums and it can be a bit of a jump hearing that all of a sudden when your in game though XD

    I get those stupid ads next to my avatar, but none that make any noise.
    A troll is one of many unsung internet heroes who are almost entirely misunderstood. Contrary to popular belief, many trolls are actually quite intelligent. Their habitual attacks on forums is usually a result of their awareness of the pretentiousness and excessive self-importance of many forum enthusiasts. As much as people may hate trolls, they are highly effective. Their actions bring much of the stupidity of other forum users out into the great wide open.

    You call me a troll... like it's a bad thing. QQ more.

    Guess it is just me.

    Adblock is a FF utility, look it up. You'll thank me.

    I had those today too. I just muted my sound lol. I think I'm going to finally get the adblock for FF if PWI is going low enough to have those crappy kind of ads.

    Time for what? Are you telling me PWI doesn't enough security on their site to prevent **** like this? And also that they have to have ad supported forums cause they don't make enough money from the boutique? I find this hard to believe, I haven't worked a full time regular job in over 2 years and my faction forums doesn't even have ads. Come on PWI get rid of the ads and the bugs, instead of adding more problems and cash shop end game gear.

    Grace with all due respect, they got to this pretty damn fast , considering first time i seen this was when i logged on today, and they are already looking into it,

    see when you have ads on a site like this , they dont personally go and check every ad that gets used, instead they have a kinda third party system that buys the space and then links onto them, so invariably they can only ask that third party to remove them not do it themselves

    Actually, some third party programs give you the option to stop displaying certain ads.

    I officially despise IE...those ads are SO annoying...I remember one day on another site where that was all they had. Worst day of my life, no joke.
    For those times when *facepalm* and *headdesk* just aren't enough, I present...*brickhead*...painful, effective, and guaranteed to make you forget why you hit yourself in the first place.

    yep they talk for me too. it's incredibly annoying. and i'm using google chrome so.. dont blame your browser, blame the people who made the ads, and then blame perfect world for making the stupid decision to have ads on their forum

    In a default FF, there will be a stop sign button for it in the toolbar. If the item shows up with a "block" tab at its top-right, you can just click that.     I use FF, Adblock Plus and Noscript to make sure I can avoid malicent ads.

    If I understand it correctly PWI does not check the ads so if I am mister hacker I might rent space for a day and see if I can use a corrupted ad to exploit poorly secured systems...
    I have no way of knowing if the staff of PWI even have policies for regulating ads even today or if they are adequate at all.

    Then again I might be paranoid (and I am not).

    It's good to be paranoid. The only times in recent memory that I've gotten malicious files, it has been through web ads on mainstream websites. With JS mostly disabled, and no Adobe Reader set up to automatically open things, and being on Linux half the time, nothing has happened, except for the browser asking what to do with random files, or the browser crashing (and finding out that some **** ad was why, by Googling it after coming back up) but I find 3rd-party ads to be on the dangerous side of things.
