yes it is,u get equipment which u can use on lower lvls,u get exp, spirit and u get rep.
besides, most of quests is that u have to kill mobs,so how that makes u sleepy more then grinding?

There are some quests you MUST do eventually --- the cultivation chain comes to mind (gold colored quest chain), as it unlocks skills. You'll also want to do the lvl 30 quest that gives you your free flying mount.

Some quests also give you "reputation", which is an additional score on your character. Reputation doesn't do much, but it lets you buy certain items that apparently aren't that bad if you manage to get them early enough.
the stuff you get it from there

Not many quests give you items, and of those items some may not even be usable for your class. However, there are some real gems in between as well. For example, I soloed my "FB19" (obtained at lvl 19, as the *inofficial* name suggests) in my late 30s, and got a wand as reward --- I used that well into my 40s. It would be more than awesome for a lvl 19 :-)

If you're rich you probably don't need to care, though.
and does it lvl you up faster?

    Definitely.

Interesting... most people would say that about grinding :-)

I don't know what other people will tell you, but DO your quests. You'll get to no-quest-grinding eventually --- currently (lvl 69) I get almost no experience from quests, not counting the quests that can be repeated over and over again (Crazy Stones and Dragon Quest; there are also the "BH xx" dungeon running quests, but I can't do these, plus some additional dungeon running quests that I don't know when they become available. I can't do them anyway :-))

Grinding gives me almost no experience, although I haven't tried bumping monster levels up. I either grind for the dragon quest (very bad, as monsters are lower level than I am) or "One Man Army" --- that one involves slightly higher level monsters than I am, and gives me something between 1% and 2% for 40 monsters, IIRC (the quest itself has no exp reward, that's just the killing-exp). It would be horrible if I had to do 100% with that kind of exp output...
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

Lets not forget mold drops. I dunno what it is about this game, but when I leveled my Barb to 81 - I only ever got 1 mold drop on my FB and it didnt go to my bag, meanwhile the FB's I tanked for my faction mates always dropped molds. Tabbers drops - so they get them. Turn around and start leveling my archer - I got the sinister shooter mold drop on fb39 from calcid. Did FB 51 and got a double mold drop on wyvern - a pair of fists and an evasion belt with +dex (drools on self). Turn around a few days later and do BH 39 - first run got me a Wheel of Fate from Trioc, and second run got me another belt mold from Trioc (of which two dropped that run).

If you ask me, I think the game is coded that certain classes are "more lucky" than others.

At lower levels quests are the single best way to level up. Giving relatively high EXP for doing a moderate amount of work, there's simply no reason you wouldn't want to do them. Sadly, it doesn't last as higher level quests give lousy experience points and only serve to hide the grinding aspect by giving you a mob total to watch. The concept behind it is clear as crystal to see.

The idea, one can only assume, is that the monsters give you a large amount of experience points themselves so they feel they don't have to give out such a large reward for actually finishing the quest. With so many ways to get far higher EXP bonuses, such as Crazy Stone, Cube of Fate and Bounty Hunts, these grinding missions lose their appeal, for me at least.

The only way to make the best out of these low-XP quests you'll be inundated with is to use Hyper EXP stones. At least that way you'll be making decent XP/hr rather than spending hours grinding away the same boring targets for barely a snack in terms of reward...

Why would you want to skip a crucial part of the game o.o

Ok BH and hyper/oracles/FF makes it....way too easy, but questing is part of the game...and don't you want to play a game to complete it?

I have a megalist of quests that I haven't touched since my 60's since I've been doing BHes, TT quests, and other shizz with my faction. I keep those around in case I get bored of running around in temples. Sometimes grinding is actually a nice reprieve - if you can stay alive.
