Demon Metal Mastery Criticals

My main character is a level 91 Cleric and I am close to hitting the level I can use demon metal mastery but when I closely examined the skill I noticed that it says "Increases Metal magic damage by 20%." which makes it quite clear it only applies to metal attacks like wield thunder and tempest and not plume shot which I have known since level 29 when I got this skill. Well the demon version says "Demon version increases critical hit rate by 2%" which I could assume from the wording that it adds 2% to my critical hit rate overall but it makes me think maybe it only applies to my metal attacks though the wording is far different from the archers winged blessing skill which says straight up that it only applies to ranged targets. That would mean the moment they come into that 5m ranger where archers do half damage the critical hit rate does not apply any longer.

So does anyone know for fact if demon metal mastery will apply the 2% critical to all skills or just metal skills. The forum talked more about getting critical for clerics and perhaps I worded my searches wrong but I found nothing specifically talking about demon metal mastery or the critical hit related to it. An answer in about two or three days would be much appreciated since I will finally be able to use the cheap book I acquired, thank you.
