Although my assassin is only level 31 at the moment, I have extensively browsed these

forums and have come upon a great wealth of knowledge about the assassin.

Levels 1-19

Well in these levels, you will fly by. Just use Punture wound, Slipstream Strike, and then
regular attacks. Keep an eye on your health. Soon if you develop a combo that suits your playstyle, you may find yourself using more mana potions than hp potions.

During these quests, I highly reccomend taking every Golden Herb and Nectar that you find. Also get 5 Saliva Root and learn apoth skill level 1.
The only challenge you may have is during the level 19 quests.

Levels 20-28.

Strongly reccomended you buy a bow!

OK, here are some tactics.

Bow+Daggers

Meele Monsters:

Switch to bow, shoot no more than 3 times at the monster. Then switch to dagger. From here, you have many options:

-You can use punture wound, deep sting, Count to 4, then use slipstream strike, and finish off with regular attacks. (RECOMMENDED TACTIC)-(More mana but less hits taken)

-You can use slipstream strike, then use regular attacks. (Less mana, more hit.s taken)

-Or you can use the combo you used for 1-19.

Range/Magic Monsters: This is where it gets tricky. I suggest getting close before hitting it and see if it also uses meele. If it doesnt then use the tactics below:

Aggressive Monsters:
If you see these about to cast a spell on you, use Knife Throw immediately. Then rush up to them and use punture wound, then Deep Sting. Then count to 4, and use Slipstream Strike. If they are still alive and are running away, use knife throw again and use regular attacks.

Non-Aggressive Monsters:
These are much easier. First and foremost, use Puncture Wound, then Deep Sting, wait the 4 seconds, then use Slipstream, then Knifethrow, finish off with regular attacks.

STRONGLY RECCOMMENDED THAT YOU FINISH YOU CULTIVATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Levels 29-30
Congrats! You made it this far! b:victoryThings will get much easier. b:laugh

Don't continue reading this if you havn't finished the cultivation. b:sad

Now then, you have your cultivation done, its time for the tactics!

A Bow is NOT suggested

Well, these are the tactics I currently use:

Tackling Slash>>Spark Eruption>>Normal Attacks

or

Tackling Slash>>Spark Eruption>>Slipstream Strike>>Normal Attacks

These combos are amazing. Why? First, Tackling Slash has a 100% chance of freezing the enemy for 6.3 seconds and has a range of 4.5 meters. This allows you to use Spark Eruption without being hit, and then you just go up to the monster, and hit 700s on it.

This also works great on Range/Magic monsters. If you freeze then use spark eruption instantly after, they monster's first attack will not be effective, and it will say "RESIST", allowing you to get hit one less time.

HOW TO GET EASY CHI

Well this was extremely easy to figure out.

First use Shadow Escape, then use Shadow walk right after. This will give you 110 chi. Next use Wolf Emblem, Focused Mind, then Windpush. This will give you a total of 140 chi, at the cost of a huge portion of mana. Then just use the combo for attacking listed above, that will give you about 180 chi. Just keep killing monsters with that combo and you will only loose 10 chi a kill. Once you Chi gets low, use Shadow Escape and Shadow Walk. This grants you unlimited Chi. b:victory

This is the end of my guide, my compilled knowledge of the assassin. I hope you learned something new about the Way of the Blade.

I'm sure this was just forgotten to be added, but use the Golden Herb and Nectar to create Life Powder, which increase the HP regen to 50/s in standard mode, 12.5/s in battle mode, and 100/s in meditation mode.

As far as the 19 quest for Ocean Tusker, use Tideform (level 1 is sufficient), Life Powder, and bring plenty of HP pots and some MP pots. Use Puncture Wound and Slipstream, then turn into Tideform and run (or rather swim) away until you are healed, then go out of Tideform and repeat. It will also be beneficial to have a Genie (Infliction preferably) which has Second Wind skill to heal you with. The more Str your genie has, the better the healing effect.

    Levels 20-28.

Strongly reccomended you buy a bow!

    OK, here are some tactics.

    Bow+Daggers

Trial Daggers, Perfect Officer's Bow (Stash level 20)

    Meele Monsters:

Switch to bow, shoot no more than 3 times at the monster. Then switch to dagger. From here, you have many options:

You can hit most mobs 4 times before they are in attack range, slow ones like the Frail Blobs can be hit 5 times. Some, however, you can use only a bow and kill without ever being touched. For example, by the mines there is a little cliff where the Werewolf Spearmen are, pretty close to where you'll also find Werewolf Hunters. If you go up on that cliff with a bow to the very edge of it, you can kill those Spearmen and they will run towards the cliff, then run around to come up to you. Easily, you can take down most of their health.

-You can use punture wound, deep sting, Count to 4, then use slipstream strike, and finish off with regular attacks. (RECOMMENDED TACTIC)-(More mana but less hits taken)

Stop at Deep Sting and then run back and switch to bow again. Less hits you will take, and more likely that draining mobs will run back out of range to drain.

Deep Sting would be better to use first. It has 87% chance to cancel the channeling (compared to the low 4x% chance of Knife Throw, and as long as you start with it, you should easily outcast the mob.

    Non-Aggressive Monsters:
These are much easier. First and foremost, use Puncture Wound, then Deep Sting, wait the 4 seconds, then use Slipstream, then Knifethrow, finish off with regular attacks.

Knife Throw is unnecessary to use, and only drains more MP than is needed to be used.

STRONGLY RECCOMMENDED THAT YOU FINISH YOU CULTIVATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

    A Bow is NOT suggested

A bow is still very useful through the rest of your PW career. You still have plenty of melee mobs to fight until around 60. You can use the bow to deal some extra damage before the mob gets close to you. The more damage you can deal to the mob before it attacks you, the less hits you take.

Well, these are the tactics I currently use:

    Tackling Slash>>Spark Eruption>>Normal Attacks

First, you forgot to mention that using Tackling Slash on melee only mobs and then moving inside their circle (right under them) prevents them from being able to attack you. Second, if you are fighting a mob which this will not work on (magic or ranged), it is better to use Rib Strike to lower their attack speed. The less hits on you, the better.

Just using Tackling Slash and regular attacks should easily give you a spark. It would be better (in order to conserve MP) to just alternate using sparks every other mob.

This is the end of my guide, my compilled knowledge of the assassin. I hope you learned something new about the Way of the Blade.

This could still use work in my opinion, but it is not bad for a first try.

How about you attempt to help him out, instead of flaming the thread. You're only making yourself look bad.

With that aside, not bad for a timer. Tweak it a bit, and gather info from other players.

Spark Eruption is the only all-class skill, the same with it's superior skills, Spark Eruption+ and the Demon/Sage sparks. Spark Eruption increases your weapon damage by 150% for 8 seconds, immunity for 1. Spark Eruption+ (or double spark) increases weapon damage by 300%, along with 20% HP recovery and 2 seconds of immunity.

If you have noticed, there is a yellow bar under your HP/MP bars, that is your chi bar. 100 chi (a full bar) is equal to 1 spark. This bar is important in order to use some skills.

Complete the lvl 29, 59 and 89 cultivation quests (the yellow ones). Completing each of these will increase your chii bar in 1 spark. And, in your class skill learner, it'll be there.

it's not a bad guide. but please don't ever use shadow escape for chi purposes. it's meant to save your squishy fish bum if you're about to die from a mob/player. b:chuckle
