    The fanart design might not be stolen. It could come from the same person, with one account on deviantart and one here. Need confirmation for such accusation.
    The video game one is definitely stolen, because even if it is created by the same person, that video game company still own the license.
    The E one is not stolen, it had become public materials long ago (several art work in Japan very long ago depict ninja in similar outfit).

    No, but speaking as a digital artist who has seen countless cases of art theft, the fact that the image has been manipulated and the copyright removed is at least suspicious. An artist conscionable enough to include copyright information the first time will preserve it in subsequent appearances.

    It's been confirmed. Niki herself posted in the female thread stating this is her work and that she did not submit or give permission for anyone else to submit her work into the fashion contest on PWI. She gave a link to her page, and it also says a few things there about the PWI contest.

    Of course, I'm highly suspicious of that ninja, personally, but I don't see it being verified as stolen artwork at this point.

    Sorry while the Black-Jack outfit might not be original, I sincerely doubt it was copied from that. It is your average barkeeper/casino-boy uniform. Its quite popular.

    So wow, not original but not necessarily plagiarism. It was definitely not traced or copied+pasted.

    I can't truly comment on the other claim. I see resemblance and maybe influence, however they look distinct to me. It is not a direct submission of that work, nor a tracing, nor a copy+paste theft. Copyright law does state that for art if something is change 20% or more it is considered "original" (I just had to write a 12 page paper on plagiarism and copyright law v.v)

    Design D is a rip of an existing outfit. It's not a original design. So are many others, if you read the thread you will see.

    Design D seems like it was done by the contestant to me. Its pretty different from the concept art being tossed around. Possibly that was the source of inspiration, but inspiration is not a crime. Direct theft of copy-written material is.

    Personally i wouldnt call it plagiarism either, i see the similarities yes, but it would seem the entry was airbrushed most likely by the entrant with that image as inspiration.

    Also i dont believe the male votes need a re-roll as well. . . hmm would be nice to see guys running around in design D b:chuckleb:pleased

    I would hope its created in game, and that PWI doesnt make the mistake of making it to see-through.

    A does have similarities to the picture I linked. It's most likely unintentional as well. The type of outfit isn't really so absurd/unique it would only be worn by one well known character in gaming/anime.

    When I originally posted, it was just my thoughts about it. The color scheme really struck me, not so much that it was plagiarised, lol.

    I agree they have terrible tastes in fashion. . they probably dont know a thing about fashion in real life either though. The movie 40 year old virgin comes to mind b:laugh
