[HELP WANTED] Noisy People?

Do you have a mic for PC? The ability to record a simple .wav file? I may need your help!

For those who aren't already aware, I'm in the process of making a feature-length film set in Perfect World. The film is expected to be complete for release this summer, with a trailer ready by the end of April or so.

But I've run into a little snag, and I need help. Voice Acting.
I've done as much as I can on my own, but there are only so many characters I can voice (even with audio tricks like pitch and reverb changes), and I certainly can't voice a female.
So I'm asking for your help. There are a number of roles yet to fill, including three of the main characters.

Cast!
-Blade Sergeant Kennard Wolfe [Arhil]
= The reckless wise-cracking embodiment of everything Blademaster.
-Templar Captain Vaughn [Edwyn (V.A.C.)]

Needed:
-General Cathrine Winters
= Stern but compassionate counterpart to General Summers
-Alyssa Renault
= A hot-tempered mage with an icy sharp tongue; has past history with Wolfe
-Wing Commander Zero
= Brash and headstrong, but brave. Young, has yet to be numbed by the losses of war
-"Crixalis" (composite role of Krixx and Suzerix)

Ideally, also:
2-4 Male & 2-4 Female "extra" voices, for battle cries, conversations, cheering and celebration, etc.
*If you and your friend(s) think of some good banter you'd like to share, you're welcome to do that too - as long as it's PW-related, I might be able to add it.

If any of this interests you, I ask that you record some brief voice samples - things a character might say, or just a phrase or two - upload it to whatever kind of site is most convenient (yousendit, megaupload, mediafire, etc), and PM me with a link.

**Full credit will be given to all who participate. 'imPerfect' is intended to be a professional production, in every sense that matters, including a full listing of credits at the end of the film. As of now, I'm expecting a run-time somewhere around the 90-minute mark.

-"After I've crushed your body, I'll take your soul to the Gravekeeper personally. I'm sure he'd be delighted to have yours."

Alys
-"I refuse to let those be your last words." (/dry, annoyed tone)
-"Tch. Totally unprofessional... THIS is death from above."
-"Dammit Wolfe! If you're so concerned about keeping me safe, why do I keep having to save your ****?!"
-"Alright... *sigh* But don't make me regret this."

Gen. Winters
-"So now you want to fight? Revenge won't bring back the dead!"
-"I've trusted your judgment for some time now. However, I must express some doubt about this assignment."
-"Bold words. Do you really think they can defeat Crixalis?"

Zero
-"Zero? Your real name?"
-"How often I miss."
-"It'll be my pleasure..." *evil chuckle*
-"It's alright, they're supposed to be stiff and pointy." (talking about ARROWS, btw)

Well 'imPerfect' is largely an action/war movie, including a couple of particularly epic battle-scenes. If Timothy Albee's attempt at independant film* have taught me anything, it's that quiet battles are just surreal.

*look up "Kaze, Ghost Warrior" on youtube sometime.

I will love the person who submits a Xena battlecry. On another note, does the VA have to be a person who plays PWI? One of my friends wants to get into voice acting, but she doesn't play the game. I know for movies and other videogames the actor usually doesn't know anything about it, not sure if you have a different stance.

No, they don't [have] to play. It just makes things simpler in terms of keeping contact.
And Esnemyl, I do have skype, but rarely use it (and just text chat, not voice).

This.... sounds strangely interesting.

If I can ever get the house to myself I'll be sure to send you something. Sadly, talking to myself on the computer would not go down too well with my mother - who's office is right next door and she gets a little snippy if I play music too loud, etc. etc. I don't think she'd like it if I was talking to my computer saying very odd and interesting things. xD

Either way, whether I do or whether I don't, best of luck with this project.

Heh, it does feel a little strange at first, I admit. Or at least, it did for me as well.
But once you get past the initial weirdness, it's kinda fun

Then again... you should see some of the looks I get from my coworkers when they catch me "talking to myself" (or more often, arguing).

Talking to myself in general isn't hard for me; I sometimes mutter to myself while walking my dog and I also used to do some audio reviews on games that I've played - which I hope to get back into. So talking to myself isn't really awkward.

It's more... kind of... talking to myself pretending I'm talking to somebody other than myself while also trying to act. Makes me appreciate what voice actors do a lot, it's a weird sort of thing to do. XD

You need a typical BM? I am so in, lol. I'm definitively not shy, even if I hate my voice. There's only my husband here, I'll just need something to quiet him down. (Don't even start on that one guys...). Maybe I'll send him off shopping or something.

I've got Skype, Vent, other IMs, no amazing recording tool installed right now... where's the stuff I used in college when I need it? >_>.

However I'm not available to deliver some materials at the very moment, I gotta be out the door in 20 minutes.

interesting idea but you do know that without permission from PWE this would be considered copyright infringement if they wanted to push the issue. (most likely only an issue if you started selling the finished product otherwise they would probably be happy with the free publicity)

Nah, I have no intents on selling anything. PWE would sue, the numerous copyrighted music segments would cease to fall under "fair use" and THEIR owners would sue, everyone who's willing to help me out on this would want a piece of the profits (and rightly so)... so no, it's completely free. Nothing to see here 'cept an overly-ambitious fan video.

Its a little get together of pro, semi pro, and less then pro actors.

Rina-chan is pro though as well as some of the other admins of the site. If you visit sites like Newgrounds she voices lots of things on there.
