I have been doing Bounty Hunter 29 for the past couple of days and have decided to quit doing them. the problem is that the cleric keeps the squad alive and healed through out the run and end up with none of the drops. With random drops the damage dealers get the drops and the healer gets nothing.

If squads keep refusing to share drops with clerics good luk on getting a cleric to help with the run. these runs were not wined and they cost the cleric a lot in pots. Bounty Hunter has put me in the poor hourse.

Like you, I've also been doing BH29 since hitting lvl 40 and, as you've probably noticed from my avatar, I play a damage dealer.

In my 8 levels of doing BH29, I've received nothing of value. Qingzi himself has dropped quite a few 3-star items and they've never gone to me; even when I'm quite certain I'm the largest damage dealer in the group.

So maybe random means random means random? Maybe it's the 'grass is always greener on the other side' syndrome kicking in?

Also, I'm curious as to why you are unable to afford MP pots for BH29 runs? Surely the quests you're doing between BH29 runs is providing you with enough cash for perfect mana potions? I use a lot of pots too as I'm charmless at the moment, but I can always afford to replenish my stock.

    Regards,

    Grey

if you are doing BH for the drops rather than the exp, your priorities are misplaced.
Have fun grinding while not enjoying your 300k exp a day.
    runs were not wined
BH runs under lvl 69 are almost never wined. Later on, theres a wine fee making it more expensive. I prefer unwined personally, time vs money. I can afford time -.-.
The chillum is sometimes referred to as a chalice, based on a quote from the Biblical book of Deuteronomy. Thanks and praises are offered to Jah before smoking the chillum.

i prefer wined runs. or should i say bh squads where ppl use teleports...if i can make 400k+ in 30 mins then waiting 10+ mins on others after every boss makes me feel robbed...
and most of those 3* and molds r worthless, no reason to fight over drops, who cares who gets them. if u can npc those craps and get wine/porting fee back then its all good.
and i dun know about dds getting more drops...i guess my archer aint really lucky then...

OMFG, you have to PAY some coins for the most easy exp in game?. This is an outrage.

Yes, you probably get my point. Atleast pay SOMETHING for that exp, it's already so much of a give eway

    So what i am hearing is;

-the drops are totally random and it is the luck of the draw no matter what character you play
-BH runs are done for the exp and spirit and the drops are not that frequent or good
GreyHawk - i realized it is not the BH runs and pots that are costing me so much but the skills i have been getting after the runs with my extra esp

Thanks you everyone for your comments - Guess I will be getting back to the BH's.

There's also the case that groups can be made in free mode as well and this will utterly rob ranged people from drops.

Ways to spot free drop groups:
During the run, none of the drops go to a person that wasn't picking them up.
You get nothing that drop from the mobs, 1 star gear, DQ items, the small stuff.

Random groups are indeed random and it is very rare for people to think that it really is. This is as said, grass is greener on the other side of the fence syndrome.

If you get into free squads, note up whom the people were, blacklist them and don't squad with them for anything, they will scam you from items.

Try playing a barb bud...they get screwed outside of TT from my experience...and the only reason they don't get screwed in TT is most people understand that they tend to take more damage as the tank. This is, of course, entirely dependent on the skill of the barb...if the barb sucks and someone else essentially tanks, that barb should be slid into the DD selection...But yeah, I actually ended up quitting my barb at 79 because I spent so much on BHs and got next to nothing (a couple of white items and some pots don't cut it). This made me unable to pay my repair bills, so my barb, last I left him, had a 30k plus repair bill that I, sadly, was unable to make up with the time I had to play. Recently, this character and my psychic have made enough that I intend to use them to fund his repair bills. That may be what you might have to do...just an idea to help your sad situation...(p.s. clerics should ONLY have to pay for pots...they should have miniscule repair bills from BHs)

Btw, my info about barbs getting screwed has been validated from quite a few sources...so don't go saying that I am quoting a mis-calculated stat...
For those times when *facepalm* and *headdesk* just aren't enough, I present...*brickhead*...painful, effective, and guaranteed to make you forget why you hit yourself in the first place.
