I've been playing for a while and somthing i can't stand is how some classes/races get special treatment such as pets or armour. what about others who want somthing like that. not even a combat pet just a plain pet.

All classes can have a non-combat pet. Only special racial armor i know if is the extra quest armor set below lvl 20 for Tideborn (whoopee, they also get less celestones).
The only class that has any special treatment with pets is Venomancer, and thats because its THE PET CLASS, they are designed and balanced that they need a pet, its half their dmg source & they are least defensive job because they have a pet tank. It would be the equivalent if your cleric lost the ability to buff itself & got worse heals & only did half dmg on its nukes, then you can get a battle pet to make up for it. (That cant happen, simply pointing out the Veno's design balance).0 -
Yeah but what about all the extra content added only for combat pets which means only for venomancer... such as Legendary pets in the Boutique and rare pet scrolls. b:surrender
They should add some scrolls or items for other classes to boost their power a bit too in some way b:chuckleFirst 103 on Raging Tide 30 Oct 2010

They do. Ok here's the thing you have to remember, half of a Veno's power comes from its pet, and the half of them thats like a normal caster (or melee fox) is only half as effective as a standard character class. So everything in the boutique, from Dragon Orbs, to Charms, to Anni Packs gives everyone stronger weapons or surviveability, but all of that is only half effective to a Veno, they get the short end of that. Thus they have better pets in the boutique to make up the other half.
Edit: If anything, the rest of the jobs get full advantage out of everything meant to increase the power of their character except for a Veno. So the Boutique could be considered unfair to Veno's as they then have to shell out for legendary battle pets as well to get the fullest upgrade to their class, thus costing Veno's alot more.0 -
