Stealing Aggro From Your Pet

Anything I can do to fix it? Leveling up skills or something? Or do I just need to attack slower and let him establish it before nuking the mob with everything?

From most effective to least effective:

• Give your pet Bash or another 8-sec attack skill if it doesn't have one yet.
• If your pet has a second attack/debuff skill, fire it manually.
• Nuke later/pace your nukes. I suggest having your pet attack, loot the previous kill, then start nuking.
• Level up Bash.

From easiest to hardest:

• Level up Bash.
• Give your pet Bash or another 8-sec attack skill if it doesn't have one yet.
• Nuke later/pace your nukes.
• If your pet has a second attack/debuff skill, fire it manually.

From cheapest to most expensive:

• If your pet has a second attack/debuff skill, fire it manually.
• Nuke later/pace your nukes.
• Level up Bash.
• Give your pet Bash or another 8-sec attack skill if it doesn't have one yet.

Okay, thank you! It's got Bash, so I'll level that up and then space out my nukes, and manually do the debuffs. Thanks.

A well timed Lucky Scarab or Parasitic Nova can help if your mob lives long enough for you to steal aggro. I'd also toss an Ironwood in just after Amp. Applied Pet Skills that do no direct damage generate significant aggro. If you have Threaten, Slow, Howl, Pierce: you can use these to generate more aggro for your pet.
