I'm not saying that all barbs should under all circumstances be the tank. But when I say "looking for Tank to do TT2-3" and a Barb whispers me only to show up with a pair of fists and light armor, my temptation to find a way to put this player in a computer-induced comatose a la the .**** series rises exponentially.

When I need a DD and an Assassin shows up, stealing aggro from the barb not once or twice, but every opportunity that arises, wasting the time and efforts of my supporting clerics because they don't know any longer who to heal, have to spend time sitting still while they res the said dumb Assassin, etc. my temptation again rises.

If I said I'm looking for a tank, I'm looking for someone that has the capacity to tank. When I'm looking for a DD, I'm looking for someone that does enough damage but can control their output not to take aggro from the tank. If that barb responded to my call for a DD, I would not be displeased, because I am fond of relatively new/obscure/so-called "unviable" builds. I have worked with Light Armor barbs that made effective tanks. I myself am an Arcane/Heavy Veno, and I find it works wonders in PvE because mobs generally deal a certain kind of damage (rare is it that one mob has both powerful physical and magical AoEs), but I wouldn't pretend to be amazing in mass PvP (even in TW I always aimed to make a fight personal to prevent varying damage types and I know my biggest weakness is coming face-to-face with an Archer or a chi'd up Wizard ready to choose between either BT or BIDS). All I want is people to know their role and the boundaries of the role they are supposed to fulfill.

Also, I said that I was displeased "back in the day" when people wore quest gear instead of TT gear, because TT was the desired norm. Nowadays, as it was echoed earlier, people are walking around in white armor with no additional stats that don't even have all five resistances. You could buy better armor from an NPC. Or when the only add it does have is Endurance +25% and it's still the said **** armor without full resistances.

But people can't be bothered to upgrade their equipment or skills when they're busy paying for all the daily quests they have...

^So, in reality you're complaining about low-IQ/lazy people but blame it on the HH, because you're too lazy to think it over, too. I think you got your point across perfectly.

If by too lazy to think it over you're meaning that I'm basing my analysis on the state of the economy and personal spending as a result of people dropping their time and money into daily quests instead of quests that could be used to obtain gear or obtain coin (what an idea), then yes I am far too lazy to think it over.

These kinds of problems didn't happen before because people that "only did their dailies" were pretty much restricted to crazy stone, which didn't level them quickly enough for them to join the higher-level play structure that questers ascended to.

I decided to roll over to BH and find the first person to complain about HH missing. This is their equipment:

    http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/Ryoku_Ichigara/?action=view&current=PWI-BH1.png

    Weapon: Military Sword
Chest: *Wraith Robe (-10% req, all resists)
    Pants: Wraith Pants (3/5 resists)
    Feet: *Swift Boots (quest reward!)
Arm: Sleeves of Sacred Tortoise (2/5 resists)
    Head: Raintaker Hat
Cape: *Cloak of Blaze (+2 Dex)
Neck: *Green Silk Necklace (+3 Str, 4/5 resists)
Belt: Snowdrift Pendant (Eva Belt? O.o)
Ring 1: **Ring of Deep Ocean (second quest reward!)
Ring 2: Ring of Iridescent Skies

So out of 11 pieces of equipment, two are quest rewards. Their weapon is stock, three pieces of equipment that have magic resistances aren't 5/5, they are using an evasion belt, and the pieces of random equipment they have with stats on them are not made for an arcane veno (which I'll admit I'm assuming this person is, although it's probably a good assumption based on armor). Their highest requirement is 55 (Belt/Ring 1) which means that their second ring has been outdated two rings ago NPC-wise and the majority of their armor would be better if they purchased from an NPC.

And that's just the first person I could find.

But but but Arch! My level 69 BM (soon to be 70) has the full TT70 HA set waiting for him along with a TT70 Poleblade and TT70 axes! He's also got two molds and his gear is quest reward only (excluding my legs, which are npc)

Apparently I'm one of the few exceptions? I do BH daily, along with CS and do the occasional PQ if it'll level me (though I haven't done it in several levels.) I bring down most people my level at duels and PvP, and I can even bring down some 8x players, I won't name them because that's against ToS.

My BM's name is Zoll, and if you think I'm a noob pm him in game and I'll show you just why you're wrong. b:sin
