What is this dye color?

I need some input for I am baffled. I bought a Magician's Jacket from the boutique and was lucky, I liked the color. I have been trying to determine what color that is, for a few days now.

Here is an image of the jacket as well as hovering over the jacket in the fashion tab to enable you to see the color there.
It is not aqua. I dyed the shoes aqua, under the impression that was the color. I was wrong. A fairly expensive mistake. So, I come to those more knowledgeable to hopefully help me determine just what color it is.

It looks green to me, but could be blue.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Looks like a Turquoise, but I can't be too sure.
There is a chance it might also be a smokey color.

Looks like turquoise to me too.

The problem is, because a piece of clothing you buy from the boutique is dyed randomly upon purchase, it could be any shade of any colour, with no real, static colour dye to match it. It could also be very costly to experiment to find out what colour works best, but I'm leaning towards turquoise.

It's not smokey. Too greeny/blue to be the smokey colour - smokey is more of a purple tone.

I wish PW would just put a color label on clothes so you know what color it is.

I wish PW would just put a color label on clothes so you know what color it is.

This would be useful, but you need to consider the fact that a random dye can make clothing any colour, and any shade of that colour.

If they were to label colours of clothes, they would have to go through and label every single colour and shade because I imagine each has it's own individual tiny bit of code somewhere, and a random dye could give you a shade of blue that looks like, say, aqua, but is in fact a few shades up or down, making it it's own colour.

It would be impractical to label clothing colour for this very reason, unless I am mistaken and they could make a general label for the many different shades of one colour you can get from a random dye.

So it "could" be aqua, just a different shade?

Here are the shoes I dyed aqua... just for comparison.

    It's close, isn't it?

The other problem we have with this is that some fashion dyed a colour will look slightly brighter, or darker, or duller, than other fashion dyed exactly the same colour.

Best thing I can suggest to do:

Hover over the coat, and take a screenshot of the three blocks of colour it gives you
Then hover over the shoes and do the same

Compare the blocks of colour, and if it matches enough for your taste, go with the aqua dye. =)

Well, if you like the Aqua, then I'd say go ahead and buy enough to color the whole set that.

But if you like the top's color, I'd suggest buying Turquoise and testing it out on the boots and seeing if the color's look close enough.

If you want, after you dye them, take a screen shot and post it here. Most of us could tell you if it's the same or not.

Looks like teal green to me. I don't think PWI has that color and regular teal is a bit too blue. =/

Then again, colors in PWI aren't exactly the exact shade so it could be teal (does PW even have regular teal?).

    Dye guide
    and
Another one with random dyes shown

its a random dye color so your better off just dying the whole set then trying to match it

Based on the list Celestyna gave here are the possible options I saw for the top's color:

    Chrome Dye
    Sand Brown Dye
    Jade Dye

I think more likely it is R152, G184, B160 or R152, G200, B176 in the blue to green section of the random dyes on the second link. btw, keep in mind that second link dye color names are from another version so best to use the list from the first link for regular dyes

I agree, the coat is definitely a random dye. Here is the question (still fairly new), the random dye that you buy in the boutique, is it one dye per use (being it is random) or if something took four dyes, it would take four out of the ten pack?

Not necessarily going in that direction, but curious?

yes if it says takes four dyes to dye it will use four random dyes. so four dye per try, and you might end up with any of the shades / hues
