I'm not very clear on this stuff, but from what I understand, +2 defense level basically means -2% damage. There are a total of 26 sockets that you can have. If I put 26 Jade of steady defenses into my armor, does that mean a 52% damage reduction? And if so, what happens if I equip a mystical armor charm (Reduce physical damage by +50%)??Does that mean I take no damage from physical attacks, or only 24% of the original damage (with stones equipped)? I'm just very confused about all of this, so any help would be appreciated. I don't really understand this stuff, so I probably made a lot of mistakes. Corrections would be helpful.

i think the stones increase ur def lvl by one only.Even if they were 2% each,i believe the dmg reduct doesnt stack that way.it prolly is 50%x(dmg taken x 52%).Also,it would nto make u indestructible if it stacked 52%+50%.If some1 sharded with +1 atk lvl on all his socket,it would balance off.
Attack Level:For each point of Atk Level u have over the enemy's Defense Level, you deal 1% more dmg
Defence Level:For each point of Defense Level you have over the enemy's Attack Level, you take 1% less dmg0 -
52% def level when your opponent has 0 attack level means you take 52% less damage total from them.
On top of that, if you used a 50% damage reduction charm (and we'll say a magical charm for all damage here for simplicity's sake) then you'd indeed only be taking 24% of the original damage they deal. If they had, say, an attack level of 10, then you'd start of taking 42% less damage from them, and with the charm it would be further reduced so you'd only be taking 29% of the original damage.0 -
So it's still a lot of damage reduction, just not 100%. I see, thanks for clearing that up for me.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

even if your defence lvl is 100, or 150 or 1000, you'll still take dmg. there is a limit to dmg reduction0

If not wrong spoon said these before . . but forget where.
The limit is 99% reduction.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

though really 99% dmg reduction for all intensive purposes is 100%.
1% of 10000 dmg is only 100 after all0 -

unless u get hit by a really high attack lvl, like harpy wraith0 -
The bonus given by the Jade of Steady Defense is directly related with the attacker's and defender's level.
I mean, according to your avatar AlbireoTwo, you're lvl 76. So if you socket, for example, 5 jades, your defense increases 10 levels. This means when damage is calculated, you will be counted as a lvl 86 character.
Now, the game gives 1% dmg reduction per level of difference between the attacker and the defender.
Using this info:
1.- If you get hit by a lvl 76 enemy, damage will be reduced 10%.
2.- If you get hit by a lvl 86 enemy, damage will not be reduced or increased.
3.- If you get hit by a lvl 96 enemy, damage will be increased only 10% and not 20% as should be under normal circumstances (therefore, you suffer less damage).
This also applies to the Daimonds of Tiger and Dragon, but in those cases, damage dealt is the one beign modified.
I'm not sure if PWI has a limit about the maximum lvl you can reach, but if you are rich enough to socket all 26 jades, you'll be a lvl 128 barb rite now. You could perfectly tank a world boss (Wich I think they aren't higher than lvl 105) all by yourself with ease and suffer little damage. But again, maybe PW has a capped the maximum lvl a player can reach to prevent this kind of scenario.Sliding we go, only fear on our side. To the edge of the wire and we rush with the tide.
Although I'm still alive, pray to God I survive

So much is wrong here that it's not even funny.
Attack/defense level are unrelated to character level and are a set increase/decrease to damage dealt/taken respectively. It tells you exactly what they do when you hover your mouse above them in the character stat menu. Not only that, but there is no damage bonus for attacking something that is a lower level than you, merely a damage penalty for attacking something higher leveled (see: Here). Lastly, world bosses, and all bosses in general with a ? displayed for their level, are level 150 mobs and not 105.0 -
Psy with voodoo, but stacked with def stones...
