So, why did CQ gave up the map?

Maby now that some time has passed, some x-cqs can tell me why they really disbanded?

If it was from being nice, why they took the whole map at 1st place, thats not nice. Same goes for trying to balance the guilds.

If its from lake of fun/challenge, common, after 1 week in world-domination you give up? you had the greatest challenge at hand, to keep the power.

My guess is they needed more people than 200 CQs, so they made 2 guilds. Hows that sound?

    Quite simple.

    1) Make Faction
    2) Take over map.
    3) Take screenshot of taken-over map.
    4) b:laugh about it.
    5) Disband guild FOR TEH LULZ, and FOR GREAT JUSTICE.
    6) Let others have a shot at getting recognized.
    7) Secretly plot to take over map again, but with different color.
    8) Pull out screenshot of dominated map when necessary, saying that "they have already won the game once, na-na-nana-na..."
    9) ????
    10) PROFIT!

It was agreed upon the officers and the leader that competition was nonexistent, and that it would be boring to keep hold of the map.

    I have pondered this also.

My initial reaction was Cq was soooooooooo arrogant that they thought even by splitting into 2 they could still dominate.
If this was the case....then........all that can be said is.....in your face!b:laugh

Another theory, is that....through various sources, reliable and unreliable, i had garnered some info.
Some wanted to give the map back, some didn't, so those that went with the "give back" decision stayed in one guild, those that didn't agree made another.
If this is the case, then i can say.......Obviously one faction is suceeding more than the other, so again......in your face to the "original majority of cq"b:chuckle

But after all, noone will know the truth behind closed doors, so i suggest ppl stop harping on the past, and concentrate on the here and now.

    What was, was.
    What is, is.
What will be, is what anyone has any real control over. Lets work on that.b:bye
No need for quotes anymore. Lost City's eyes are wide open now. Thank god!b:victory

Zerhee you can't really say anything about the history of the people in Essence right now.

You are a oracle ***** and haven't even been playing this game for a year, hell I doubt you've been playing for 7 months. (note I didn't say oracle noob, since you aren't a noob :P) Most of the people in essence right now have been Ex- CQ and/or CQ friendly.

A person like you who didn't even know about this game when people like Midnight was already lvl 100 shouldn't talk like you know about who or who not was in CQ and is in essence right now.

    IJS TBH IMO.

It was planned from the very beginning of Closed Beta, it was generally Daikoku's idea.

"We take the map then disband and try to do it again."

I hated the idea, but went with it anyways.

The history of CQ is rooted in the guild ALLIED from PW-MY version on the Oracle server where one guild controls/still controls the map. It is the most unbalanced boring server to play on partly because that one guild controls 99% of the economy in game. And since no guild there is capable of taking them on the TWs are boring and the game lacked any motivation to level still and get better in any way. So ya we wanted to avoid that. It was kept secret between the officers till before a couple weeks before the actual disbanding. So it was not a spur of the moment thing at all. We just wanted to get as much fun from the server as possible.
Hey Elayne. Its illegal to harass underage girls. And CQ won the map without you.

You do realize only one of those people were actually in the guild when it was still growing. Almost every person on that list joined conq for tw and really the only alternative was spectral. Just because Essence had people who stayed briefly in conqueror doesn't mean they are 40% conqueror. Maybe closer to 10% of people whose names I can remember... and that's being generous.

Devoted.... they left CQ when it disbanded.... therefore they went from CQ/Kami to essence. It doesn't matter where they were when CQ started all that matters is that after CQ disbanded they went to essence straight from CQ.

That is the whole point that we are trying to argue GG.

But I have to agree most of Essence top factors are oracle/hyperstone ****** that played for maybe 5 months got to level 101 and cashopped their way to status. So you are right on that part devoted that they were never in CQ. They went straight from non factor to Essence (hopping on the bandwagon so to speak).

There is actually very few active players in Essence that were in CQ when it disbanded. You'd know this if you were ever in their vent or reading guild chat.

If I had to guess I'd say about 10% or less.

40% of 186 is 74, I have played enough to safely say there aren't 74 ex CQs in Essence. Hell, not even half of that.

I don't know much about LC but this is an interesting question for us as well. As some of you may have noticed the map on Sanctuary server is almost completely red as well and there is only one green land left (I am in the faction with the green land b:chuckle).
As an outsider I would guess that a faction is being disbanded to restart and have fun again.

way back before HL started CQ was hated by many.. i think blt only won 1 time without the usual gank tw. and if blt, considered as the 2nd powerhouse at that time, couldnt manage to stop CQ who else could? RQ?lolz
many left the server to get fun tws.. many CQ did, many ex blt did, rqs and others from non factor factions that wanted to tw.. lost city has aalways been the best server.. seriously many regret leaving for harshlands. and what CQ did was awesome. we left thinking they would be like wurlords.. guess we all were wrong..

Looking through the guild list, I see 18 people that were in CQ or I think *might* have been in CQ. That's 10%. I also see 18 Ominous... throw in an handful from GZ and a handful from Spectral... the rest are from smaller factons or early mergers of guilds that I don't remember the names to. There are more active ex-Ominous than there are active ex-CQ, so this whole Essence is CQ thing is pretty much bull****.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

I dont care at all, but i was also in CQ for almost 1 year before Essence b:chuckle.
I think its mainly players that did not come from Conqueror that dislikes hearing it over and over. They never had any relation to CQ what so ever, never had any loyalty toward CQ and they might even have hated CQ with a passion and wanted kill all of them. So i understand its annoying for someone that came from RQ, Ominous or Spectral or w/e hearing that Essence = CQ spin of guild/infested with CQ etc.

Essence was how ever mainly created by ex-CQ, the 10-30 first members was ex-CQ + few Spectral + small guild they merged with at starts called Tribute + random baddies.

Today tho its kinda different, prolly less than 10% of the guild is ex-CQ. Obviously far more than in any other big faction in the server beside Kamisama.
