Extreme lag - unplayable

Hey, I'm having some weird kind of lag. I've been searching through the Support Forums, but I haven't found a similar thread, so I started one myself.
When I log in, I can as usual enter the server and stuff. But then everything begins to lag in a strange way: everything begins to move very fast, then instantly very slow again, as if you push the fastforward button. When I run around, it just shows how I run and eventually end up at the same old spot again. This is unplayable and it only happens in PWI, other games run smoothly. So it can't be my internet connection. I tried to set the graphics to a minimum, but that doesn't help either, so it's not my computer's performance.
I don't know what that is, the last days I played I had no problems, and now...Bam.
Would be nice if I could get some help and feedback.
Cheers

try a verify, if that does not work try recodring a video so it can be seenI'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

I have have verified - doesn't help.
But I found something interesting: When I tried to record a video as you told me (with FRAPS), this strange lag stopped. Usually when I'm not recording I have a FPS of about 50-60, but when I record I have only 30 and the lagging is lessened to a point, where it is playable again. Any solution for this?0 -
It'll be helpful to us if you tell us some of your computer's information.
1) What is the make and model number of your computer?
2) Please also tell us whether you are running a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows. You can find out in Windows by going here: Start > Control Panel > System & Maintenance > System. Then look under System > System Type. It will then display 32bit Operating System or 64bit Operating System. Include that info with the info we ask for below.
3) To create a dxdiag log, go to Start, click on Run, then type in dxdiag and press Enter. Click on Save All Information as a text file (on your Desktop as an example.
If you are using Vista or 7, go to the Start Menu, click on the Search menu and type dxdiag.exe.
4) Copy and paste the top half of your dxdiag into your forum post (that means 50% of the text). If you have Vista, please take out the (TM) (the trademark symbol) out of the text file, as the forums will cut it off and won't display the rest of the text.
If you have a 64bit system, please click on the 64bit Dxdiag/DirectX button to save the correct log file. This is important so that we can help you find the right software for your system.
We'll take a look at it, and offer our advice (our our super cool and helpful community might beat us to answering things for you).Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Update your video drivers and sound drivers.
That might help.
Try experimenting with the settings and lowering the graphic settings and turning off effects.Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Did so, even my Chipset Drivers. But - surprise surprise - it didn't help.
and yeah I tried setting the graphics to a minimum, no change.0 -
From Task manager, select the process. It's called elementclient.exe. Set affinity and only leave one core selected, lag will be gone. Worked for me.0

yeah, good luck fixing this kind of lag.
Video drivers and sound drivers won't help unless your PC is from the '70s.
I have a similar system, and I experience a lot of "slideshow" type of lag in Archos or TW or any large agglomeration of characters. I tried to set all to minimum, drivers updated, everything, I even posted a printscreen with my system in a topic here (as Darthpanda asked me to). Then no replies, they just let the topic sink and basically ignored 2 or 3 of my attempts to get a response.
Expect the same treatment, I really, haven't seen any other advice related to ingame lag than " update drivers" and " post a dxdiag printscreen". After that, you won't see any GM advice b:angrydarthpanda16 wrote: »Update your video drivers and sound drivers.

how 'bout u guys try to fix some lag generating bugs and not advice ppl to play the game with settings that will make it look like Southpark____________
