Locked mailbox

Tried to send a message to one of my faction members earlier and got a 'Recipient's mailbox is locked' message.

Does anyone know what causes this? Is it character deletion or long periods of inactivity? Any information would be useful to help me clean up inactives from my faction.

Usually means they've got too many unanswered messages.

I believe it also means that the particular user you are trying to contact has been inactive for a period of time.

Yep, pretty sure it means the mailbox is full.

aryannamage is right. That message appears when the recipient has been inactive for a certain amount of time. I think is two weeks at the minimum.

I got the 'Recipient's mailbox is locked' message a few times when tried to send by postbox some stuff to one of my alts I haven't used for a while.

To unlock it, I logged in using that alt, opened his mailbox, switched back and sent the mail without gettin' the error message this time.

Once your member logs in and opens his mailbox (no need to send messages, just open the mailbox) it'll be unlocked and able to recieve mail again.
