Do your quests whenever you can. I personally prioritize BH's just because I like dungeons and squad game play. However, because of BH I am 69 and I still have quests from back in my 50's I need to do. It doesn't help having that because then mobs I kill for quests don't drop DQ items for me to sell. Try to keep up with your quests as well as BH. However, do whichever you enjoy more, if you can afford to. Otherwise, use PW Database and do some selective grinding, based on what mats you want so you can sell them.

As far as refining goes, don't bother refining until you get your TT60 Daggers.

ever tried to play a multi-path bm? that's high costs right there...be glad you only have your one weapon to deal with. grinding will pay for CS, BH, and moderately nice gear. if you want really nice stuff you kind of have to merchant

    Stay at lv 49.

Use some mirage celestones to get a genie, do a bunch of BH, dump the exp into the genie, then when the genie is at lv 40 decompose it into an EXP cube and sell the cube at about 1.25-1.5 coins per EXP point it holds (cat shop is your friend here).

You can make a lot of money this way, even though it takes a while- but hey, you get a crapload of spirit. :)

    Try this...

Where ever you see something lying on the ground, pick it up. I'm not saying drop steal, but if someone kills someone and leaves the cash/items on the ground, pick em up. (In my eyes, if they wanted it, they should not have left it on the ground.)

You see a mat on the ground? Get it; everything is worth something to someone.

For BH's, whatever you don't need, sell. (Kinda obvious.)

Also, why do people leave the coin molds on the ground in BH's? Just because its only a few coins doesn't mean you shouldn't take it. Thats a few coins YOU DONT HAVE!

For christ's sake, there are poor barbs in Lost that would KILL to fix thier armor!b:shocked

Do some Dragon Quests without taking any easy way out...no joke.
For only 50 DQs you can get the lvl 60 DQ light wrist mold which will give you -0.1 interval, making your DPS skyrocket. And while you are doing the DQs, you can sell the other drops and farm mats to sell. My Assassin can make around 300k in one DQ run. Unfortunately I only started doing these at lvl 77 so I had to buy the copper dragon orders but I'm scrambling to do DQ71 for silver orders and my Assassin has never been so rich.

And don't forget to stack your regular quests with your DQs. b:victory

It's not a bad idea to do your DQ's to save up for those wrists but that takes quite awhile to get all those copper and silver orders needed for them. And in the meantime that means a lot of mats that can't be sold along the way which is one of the quickest ways to make coin.

To the OP I would suggest doing your quests and collecting crafting mats in all the areas you visit. Depending on if you want to do the Dragon Quests you can either choose to use your DQ mats for the quest or to sell them. Then at the end of the day put yourself in a good spot to catshop and sell any mats or decent gear you picked up.

BH's aren't bad at your level because they don't require wines (and therefore a wine cost yet) but CS is a cost you probably don't need at this point. Better off to do your quests and optionally do BH's if you want to level quicker.

Try holding off buying pots if you can and just use the ones you find as drops. For daggers try to get lucky getting your dagger mold quests and if you don't get them try to find cheaper ones on AH when you need to upgrade. Same with armor. With your skills and quick DD you should be able to get away from needing new armor all the time but keep checking the AH for good bargains with a low opening bid and you could get lucky.
