Just try to stay as far away as you can while still being able to trigger the skill, and watch for moving adds. Veno pulling is still the best choice because it allows luring from farther away.

Never, ever, lure the boss in '39... the adds follow the boss. Lure the adds first.

That's true - some guard mobs ignore the normal rules of luring.

Otherwise yes - get within 25m, but not so close that the mob aggros you.

Then hit earthflame an run backwards.

Then when the mob is decently far from its friends, start attacking it.

Do NOT attack it sooner, do NOT get healed sooner.

I'm not sure, but I don't think luring as an assassin is the best idea...If something goes wrong, the character with the least (or at least close to it) amount of health is not really the one you want getting hit. If a barb or bm has a zeal genie, let them do it instead.

39 as far as I can tell is the ONLY place this is a problem.

Unless you really don't know how to pull and get the adds anyway...

You're forgetting that assassins can usually go stealth in an emergency, which also sheds aggro.

As an assassin I have never had an issue luring bosses or mobs when there is no veno in the party or the tank does not have a luring genie. I have never died or even come close to it while luring with my genie since the tank typically aggros the boss/mob when they are in the clear. As long as everyone in the party knows their job and place during a lure there should be no problem if done properly. Thinking that assassins would have a problem luring because of their supposed health level makes no sense to me since it really is no different than having a veno lure. In fact, I have more health than many arcane build venos my level and I have the added benefit of wearing light armor. Now saying that, if there is a veno in the party I let her lure unless she does not want to. Also, it's always a good idea to share luring duties with other party members that have luring genies. This way no one person is using up all their genie energy or waiting on cool downs on every pull.
