Safety Lock PK

It may have already been asked, but meh.

When PKing with safety lock, the gear gets shattered, you lose mirages etc etc, but some people say that even with safety lock on, you can lose items if you dont have any scrolls with you.

Is this true? Because I remember that safety lock was an alternative to GS, and just cost many mirages.

Has this happened to anyone? Is this a rumour? Or is this just from people who set up the safety lock feature wrong when PKing?

    EDIT: Also, if you don't wanna read through all that text, the answer is "No", you shouldn't be dropping items with Safety Lock on.

    nothing is 100%... even with ga you still could lose items.
    1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
    2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
    3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

    I'm sure it's glitched or been bugged at one point in time. Sometimes it happens... people have even dropped dolls as well. Cube neck says does not drop on death, but it can, and it can also be traded.

    I thought I was safe with GS, but then I remember someone dropping her TT90 sleeves when blood red and had GS...

    So safety lock is as glitched as the GS thing?

    I actually ended up reading through the PWIwiki article about Dying...and yeah, Safety Lock IS SUPPOSED to eliminate all chances to drop items while in PK mode...however, if others are saying that it's bugged...well, I'd be careful, to say the least.

    Coming from a wizard who is in PK ALL THE TIME, just for fun. I use safety lock. I have it set for 1 hour. I have been killed , lets be honest, A LOT of times. And never once have I lost an item. Nor have I ever had an item "break".

    Even when blood red it did not happen.

    The thing is you just need to make sure your safety lock stays on! So set it for 1 hour, and every 50 minutes or so RE-LOG or you will suffer the full effects of PK mode without a GS!

    Do you have anything "worth" dropping? I know I don't, and I would say my gear is decent.

    You can't drop anything with Safety Lock on.
    What happens is idiot XYZ sets the lock for half an hour and goes pking for 40 mins and of course, drops something in the last 10 mins. Then goes ranting how the lock is broken >.>
