The First Battle Challenge: Problem

For some reason, I was unable to get the challenge. I was with my party when the challenge took place. However, the quest failed. I had the tab. I talked to the pillar. However, we are not sure what happened. Also, when i abandoned the quest and reacquired it, i did not reacquire the tab. Not sure what to do. Any ideas? Suggestions? Miracles?

    the best i can tell you is that its a game glitch. there's not much more of an explanation (that i can think of anyways). ask a gm for more assistance.
