ubuntu download problems :(

hi, i'm trying to download pwi on a linux ubuntu version 9.10, i waited 6 hours for it to finish download. i know there's problems concerning ubuntu/linux w/ pwi, but some people go it to work. i downloaded wine, but i'm not sure what to do with it.
i got the download complete, but right after it said it couldn't find a file or something...? and then it disappeared b:cry not sure where it went and if i can continue finishing the installation instead of restarting the entire 6 hrs again lol TT_TT

does anyone know how to complete the installation? the other threads on problems w/ linux seem to be only about graphics. and how to use wine properly?

ohh i just tried again, it checked the existing files, but a pop up came up saying

"The MD5 or SHA1 value generated for the file does not match the value you entered as a checksum! Either the file did not download correctly, or the MD5/SHA1 value entered was not correct."


someone help me w/ this please? what does it mean? b:surrender thanks

i have this problem too, am i supposed to save it in different file? or just let it download in the file it automatically chooses? b:angryb:cryb:surrender

download it via torrent, it almost never corrupts that way.

edit: while I can't say I've ever had the problem, I know it originates from the way wine handles program extraction like this.
