Hey there. I'm new to the game and I need help figuring out a class and a server to play on. Right now I have a level 20 Psychic on Raging Tide and I've run into some problems with it. I always end up having to sit and recover my mp because it goes away so fast. I'm also noticing that there's not many people on my server that help others. I don't like pvp and I'm on the east coast. I also solo like 90% of the time I am playing because I'm pretty quiet. So, which server and which class is good for me?

Raging Tide is a relatively new server, so not sure if that's the cause.

I'm unfamiliar with other servers, but for sure, Lost City is a PVP server. The server I'm in (Sanctuary) is PVE. About helpful people, it'd depend on your luck; have heard of selfish people, but I've met a bit more helpful people than not.

As for class, it'd be helpful to list what you like and don't like. It's generally split into a few types:
    1) Magic / Physical
    2) Melee / Ranged
    3) Roles in squad (Tank / Healer / Damage Dealer [DD])
    4) etc etc

Every class will have strengths and flaws, so you'd have to be clear what you absolutely detest and what you think is bearable before anyone can tell what class suits you.

Well, I really don't like melee and I'm pretty sure that I like magic more than pysical. So, I guess that cuts out BM/Barb/Assassin/Archer. Party role doesn't matter so much to me because I will be soloing most of the time. So, I guess my choices are Psychic/Cleric/Wizard/Veno. Hmm, but which one?

    That's basically the idea.

Here's a general break down for each class.

    Cleric
    - They are able to solo magic bosses their lvls.
    - Physical bosses are generally not possible.
    - They have Plume Shot, which is a physical attack based on magic, and makes the cleric a versatile attack class.
    - SP costs for skills are high.
    - Attack spells are limited to a few.
    - If you party (which you cannot avoid at certain points), you'll need to keep up with monitoring HP and most people expect you to heal, or at least keep them alive.
    - You might get friend requests, and some of them will PM you if they need a cleric.

    Veno
    - Most known to be a solo class since they can tank, heal and DD.
    - You save a lot of MP/HP Pot costs since you're not the one taking hits and you have skills to replenish your HP/MP. You also save repair fee.
    - For fighting bosses, I'd suggest reading up the veno forums for the measures they take.
    - You almost stick to only two spells the entire time: Your pet heal and your attack spell.
    - Some parties you encounter will want you to "amp" (Amplify Damage) the boss; some are polite about it, some aren't.

    Wizard
    - A lot of people say you die easily as a wizard. If you kite properly though, you probably won't.
    - They don't have a physical attack spell until later, which makes Increased Magic Resistance mobs horrible.
    - As a DD class, the expectations on you in a squad would be quite low. However, you will need to learn to manage your damage output so as not to 'draw aggro' and disrupt a smooth run. You may sometimes tank magic bosses.
    - I don't know their capacity to solo bosses except the famed FB/BH29 Qingzi.

    Psychic
I don't know much about this class as I've not played this class. I'd assume it's something like the wizard.

^ A bit lengthy, but that's about the general idea I can think of at the moment. Of all of them, only the veno doesn't have as much MP recovery issues as the others.

With regards to mana recovery, invest in Apothecary skill. Bring it up to lvl 2, then you can start manufacturing Focus Powders.

    15 Crane Herbs + 10 Salvia Roots = 5 Focus Powders

Increases mana recovery to 50mp/sec for 10mins. In meditation, it shoots over 100+mp/sec.

    Hope this answers your questions.

Find a good faction to solo with b:laugh

Really though - you will have many quests that require a party and a faction is a good place for that.

As to the MP, you can go with potions or get a charm from the cash shop

Just remember that Veno's can't be guys, they're a girl only class, but hey? What percent of the female characters on any mmo are actual girls? XD (no offence to anyone =/)
