unable to connect to server

i got PW of my friend, from an usb stick, i did put it on my pc, cause i did had problems to start it, so now i'm further, i thought, yay i'm in!
but no... when i try to log in (and yes i tried all the servers) then i got the message
"Unable to connect to server"
what am i doing wrong?
