need suggestion for Soulgem

I got some weapon with sockets..

I want to know which Soulgem is better for armours
Garnet(for physical defense) or Sapphire(for magic defense) ??

and another noob question -->like i can see "Physical defense" but cant see anything called "Magic Defense" in character info.. where does that show??

    Magic Defense means elemental defenses.

    The best socket for armors is actually Citrine, as all damage is taken out of your life, so it's like a combination of both magical and physical defense.

    For weapons, archers like Garnets, since +phys gets multiplied by dex and the like, whereas +elemental damage does not.
