Phoenix; killable in SZ but not healable

Hello, after a pvp fight w/ a red name player I died and came back to town. Upon resummoning my phoenix however I was unable to heal it while inside of safe zone. Another red name however was able to send her phoenix after mine even though it was still in safe zone. I was forced to wait to resummon my phoenix until the sword icon vanished from my name so that it would not be killed while I was inside of safe zone. Is there any fix to this issue?
