Crit Build?

So I have been toying around with whether to go robe or LA and read that LA actually does not have much lower damage than robe making this seem the sensible route... But I still WANT my mage to be robes (which yes I know it's a game do what is fun not what necessarily is best blah blah blah...) but I also want him to be good, so I came across this idea:

LA wizards have much more crit than pure int wizards, but what if I gave up LA and did a 1 str 3 dex 6 mag build to try to maximize crit? Has anyone done this/does anyone know what the crit difference would be at 90+?

5 More crit for having ~100 dex.

    just go pure mag.

    Watch this:
    2 lunar rings = 7% crit
    a tome with +1% crit = 8% crit
    heavenrage boots= 10% crit
    lunar wand = 12% crit
    IHRS= 13% crit

    crit adds up easy

Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

Well my question stems from that the one sticky says 9 mag vs 6 mag is a nominal difference overall (difference of 3200 vs 2900 avg damage at one point from a test) so I was thinking should I go for the extra 300 base damage or add an extra (15%?) crit to my build overall, which when added to Mizuoni's math would give me almost double crit than just items (total of 32%).

Or is my math off about the damage difference/crit addition?

Let's assume that 1 Magic = 10 additional magic damage.
    At level 80 you would have 3 x 10 x 80 = 2400 less damage. (600 in PvP)

And at higher levels 1 Magic gives a bit more than 10 damage, so the real difference would be bigger.

It's math on paper though, don't want to bring anyone down for using different build ;)

at lvl 90 with average gear, fully buffed:

pure magic (40 str, 5 vit, 5 dex, 415 mag)

    magic attack: 7212-9239
    crit: 4%

pure dex (40 str, 5 vit, 150 dex, 270 mag)

    magic attack: 5520-6305
    crit: 11%

    barebones build link: http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=baa071e4e8254b98

so you would sacrifice 3K magic attack for 7% crit with average gear. It's your own choice, but i wouldn't advice this build

u get enough str from the necklace and cape to equip the rest. that means u can get lower str, thus higher magic, and higher damage

LA vs AA doesn't have a large difference between damage at low levels. At 100 with +10 weapons, however, that changes.

I'd also like to point out (for me) the main advantage isn't damage by wearing arcane armor, it's magic defense. End game, physical damage (for the most part) just tickles, and it's really magic damage that kills you. Full buffed I have 11k pdef and 11k mdef and magic hits waaaay harder than any physical skill does. Yes, a +10 lunar bow with quickshot proc will hurt, but that would hurt even with 20k pdef (albeit slightly less).
