It is alright to pk someone who is red-named, but they don't want people killing low-level players in that area.

It is a case-by-case basis, so no purely official response has been given (to my knowledge).

If someone else knows better, please correct me. Not too much of a problem on my main server (sanctuary).

Please keep in mind this only applies to pvp servers (which I'm sure you know, just stating for silent viewers)

that doesnt really help if u can b banned for pking in secret passage there has to be some kind of official statement from the GM or higher ups because remember this is a world wide game and alot of new comers each and every day...what is there to say that some new guy to the game comes along gets higher lvl and sits and camps secret passage him being new and not knowing he gets banned right off the bat how is that fair? what i am looking for is somewhere here in the forums and official gm posts where it says hey this is a rul this is what will happen......

Yes, if you kill anyone for any reason in secret passage you can get banned.

At least that's what the GM that banned me said, I killed one person one time on a PvE server and got banned for a day and told that all PvP in secret passage was bannable.

As for an official statement don't get your hopes up, I think the rule changes every week cause PWE likes keeping us on our toes.

not to step on any of our cool GM's toes or anything but without an OFFICIAL statement from them on the forums i see it rather rude to BAN someone for wanting to pvp in secret passage on a PVP server and without any notice on the forums i think its very unprofessional that they ban such said people..i mean there is a such thing called tos that we read and follow and from that if we break any we are up for baning....i would like an answer from an active GM about this please for upcoming future ref :D for i do get bored....alot say its wrong because there is quest in there and what not the way i look at is this there are culti and quests all over the map why just section out just 1 area and not the whole map yes we all know alot of lowbies are there.....i mean the way i see it is this they picked pvp they are aware of what they got into the do make pve so as far as i see it until i see an official notice in forums from a gm i dont see it right and would love to b corrected by seeing proof

This is what I found after doing a simple google search... This statement was made by a GM... the best we've ever had (RIP):

The principal line of the ToS that I feel is the deciding factor regarding PK in SP is the following:

"n) Take any action that disrupts the Service or that negatively affects or may prohibit other users from enjoying the Website, the Games or any other aspect of the Service."

So basically, if you are PKing someone repeatedly, to the point where they are unable to play the game normally, that is probably a violation of the ToS.

In this case, if any player is intentionally blocking off a region necessary for quest or game progression by PKing everyone who is trying to get through, then this could be considered a violation of the ToS.

The main issue is "intent" though right? Think of it like this, if you are wandering around the world PKing everyone who you encounter, this is pretty much normal gameplay. If you decide, "Hey, I'm going to stay right here and kill every single person who comes by" you're setting yourself up for trouble if it is a place that people need to go.

Of course, if you are a high level in a low level area this is more of a problem, as you have intentionally chosen a place where the average player population is too low to even stand a chance against you.

Keep in mind that no case is identical, and in all situations the GM who is responding to the ticket has the final decision on whether you are in violation of game rules

tl;dr version: Don't camp a location if people need to go there. Don't camp players who are too low level to fight back.

You can actually get banned for that as well. If the red name player SS it and says you pk'd them there, you can be banned. I've had several friends who were white and protecting questers from lowbie killers, they got banned but the reds didn't. Go figure.

SP should be free to PK as long as you don't kill lowbies (anything that isn't glowing green).
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

They should make SP a safe zone, or remove this rule IMO.

Then the problem becomes where do you define a "lowbie"?

    Level 60? 70? 80? A level 80 could still be considered a lowbie.

This definitely sums it all up very nicely. Pay close attention to the "no case is identical" line. If you'd like a response from a GM directly, the best way to do this is to submit a ticket and ask your question that way.
