Playing with Friends?

How easy is it to play with friends who play more/less then you? I have found in most MMOs now adays that if you are not same level or on the same quest line etc it is very hard to play togather and both get EXP

    Each race starts in its own city, with its own quest lines. Once you hit level 20, you get sent to the 1st main city, and everyone has the same quests. So long as youre within 2-3 levels of your friend(s), you wont suffer an exp penalty. Or, start a guild with your friends, and you can chat with each other via the guild chat, and it wont matter the level difference. But everyone gets the same quests at the same levels.
