I do not know if other Veno's have similar experiences, but it has happen to me on more then one occasion that when playing my Veno, I have been Pk'd but my partner (Barbarian) has been left untouched. When asked the reason why by way of whisper, I haven't gotten the odd response, "that I hate Veno's" !?!?!

I found this especially odd given that I must be the only Veno out there not using the Glacial Walker as pet (Another factor which seems to build resentment).

So my question is, is the Veno Class the Hunter Class of PWI ? For those that may not be familiar the Hunter in WOW is very similar to the Veno Class, ie; Very easy to level, The popular choice for BOTS, often drew the most inexperienced players to it. Due to the ease of soloing never learned how to play in groups, with disastrous results when they finally were forced to group.

    just a bunch of missconceptions that poeple that never played the class have. Don't take it personal.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    TBH i'm sure that some would agree with the comparison but i personally think there's no real correlation as class roles are a very different affair in WoW. I used to play a lock so i am speaking from experience...

    Now let's follow forum policy and never speak of that fail game again.

    Yes, there is some bias against venos by some players. It mostly involves the perception that venos are PW's easy mode, the relatively lower costs in pots/repair for the class, the flesh ream bug and resentment against legendary pets which are thought of as overpowered.

    Funny enough i don't think squad roles are a part of the problem as a large part of the player base seems not to adequately understand it, and is in fact very tolerant of fail venos.

    It mostly is an attitude adopted by immature gamers and not worthy of much comment.

    aside from the fact PW is nearly bot free, these are true for a large majority of venomancers.

    ive personally set them in my own personal PK sights the rare times i decide to, as i dislike a large number of the arrogant failures on my server :]

    People fear venos. You never know when one will bust out their nix and kill you. lol

    When PWI first opened and bots were running rampant, I can attest that I couldn't even get my first level 9 culti done as a veno because all the veno bots were taking all the mobs. b:surrender

    It's ok. I've seen other venos refuse to squad with my veno because she has a herc. Ironically, one of them that refused to squad with me even had a nix. Golden moment there.

    i thought we were getting past all the veno hate every class has something, archers/sin crit rate, bm/sin stun lock, barb hp, clerics heals, mage/psy damage

    calling venos the easy class is like calling barbs impossible to kill, you still need to know your class and you still need decent gear (pets included)...even with the glitched bleed at the higher levels it often isnt enough to kill people, and it wont kill a barb or bm with out assistance from the veno....if people have problems with venos, i think its time to look at your own short comings, we arnt that hard to kill, learn your class better before blaming another, as i said b4, every class has something

    I always get PKed just because people think I'm going to "bust out a nix" but I just PK without a pet, can't a veno have some friends in PK :'(

    ppl whining. When i was still new here i also read that venos are hated, which i could not back the recall to have experienced yet at least. I don't know what ppls problem is with venos anyway (those who got a problem) I mean, nobody prevented them form makign a veno themselves right? seriously stop whinning and make that darn veno for the money if u like.

    WOOT for any tank veno b:laugh ... Only reason im workign on a lvl46 Glacial now (im lvl8x ^^;) is that, as the leader of my faction, its good to maybe have a better tank than a wolf =/ (been using that wolf since lvl19).

    Also another funny fact is that moeny hate me so im one of those few poor venos out there xD.

    Herc/nix: ppl hate we can get those and they hate our easy way to money. seriously try calculate a bit okay. a Box spits out 20-50nix/SoF (i think), and mostly u get fail number and can sell those for a max of 8k or so. lowest u mostly get lucky to buy is 5k thats 50mcoin as a minimum! or a **** load of real money O.O. Don't u think they deserve an awsome pet with all that work? on top of that got to train them from low lvl and up to ur venos lvl.

    I almost started gathering SoF for a herc to help my faction, then i went like "i don't like that pet, i secialize in lurign not tanking" Doen wiht that project >.>. ignore veno haters, ignore ppl saying veno is easy class (if played right they are complicated), and ignor ppl cryign that venos are overpowered cuz they got close + range attck ... mag + ph attack ... and pet hit attack as soon as its in range. Seriously what keep them from hitting the low def hp veno directly?. We got **** dmg without pet b:chuckle.

    They ain't worth ur tiem simple as that =P

    bahhhh...part of the resentment comes from venos that are arrogant and fail...ie some of them believe that just cause they have a nix/herc that entitles them to camp areas and KS people for the shear "fun" of it. I've had several friends this has happened to and the veno has told them "cause I can and it's fun." They've told me if they hadn't known me and a few other "good" venos they'd look extremely negative on the entire class. As well as what IceJazmin said. Heck venos hate venos that camp rare pet areas cause some just catch to sell them, while the lower lvls there would like it as a pet to use.

    Part of it is venos not taking the time to learn to play their class whether in solo or in squad. It's usually only takes a few idiots to build a bad rep for whatever class.

    Fail venos arent always the ones that camp low lvls areas. That's just rude and resentful. Fail venos are the ones with hercs trying to clear out fb's and dying 5+ times before they ever get to the first boss because they cant control their aggro, or they dont know what to do if they steal aggro.     ^this, IMO theres just too much fail in our class. They dont take the time to effectly learn how to play it, and/or be courteous to others. They might be used to soloing everything, but have no clue what role to play in squads.
    But even more so, the fail ones (and mean ones) are the ones that just wont listen.

    No one ever bothers to learn their class, no matter what class they play. All they want to do is get level 90+ asap and fail at pvp all day.

    I actually see some hope in so many comments from higher level venos about fail players ruinning class rep. At my range venos will be asked for nothing, as even pulling barbs like to handle with Zeal. Most don't even Amp. And the worst is this is expected from them. Since a veno playing DD will rarely steal aggro, many fail players can get away with doing nothing but the role of pet cleric.

    If players actually have better expectations from venos at higher levels i welcome it.

    The reason most dislike the veno is simply the fact that a good amount don't know how to play the class well, mainly imo in squad settings. Veno's used to always have a spot in squad due to luring abilities. But now in squads I see people using genie lure even when there is a veno in the squad. I huge amount of veno's I met don't amp dmg, won't purge boss's that should be purged, won't attack a boss with pet/or won't attack the boss themselves (this is understandable if they're tanking but I'd like to see them work not just pet auto attack), won't use other skills that debuff (main one I know of is iron wood scarab), use the spark themselves instead of passing it to barb/bm, there are many things many veno's don't do... but when I see a good veno they get put on my fl right away. Veno's that know what they're doing are amazing.

    I don't feel the resentment, actually feelin lots of love from people wanting me to join their squads, but I am kinda lone wolf right now so I haven't joined anyone. I only have wolfkind pets, I LOVE dogs, and these guys are great! What kind of pet do you have?

    err....does it count if me was technically the pet but me was actually taking care of the human? (was part of the housing program)

    Well im agree with all those comments about FAIL venos, those ones who bramble all squad members, dont know how to lure a mob, never lend sparks, dont summon his pet to help the squad or dont use fox skills because probably they didnt learned it........ I can sweard is really annoying join a squad with this kind of venos even if you are or not a veno.
    But usually people is resentfull against venos because we can solo some bosses and instances like TT's, Fb's. If u are a veno trying to open the TT door to solo it you must find a friend squad to help you because usually people didnt willing to help you.
    Some players are lazy venos only let the pet do all the work I assume that those ones are *make money alts* or kids playing with no sense.
    Some greed venos only mind to camp at rare pet to sell it for a high amounts of coins is really unfair be a low level veno trying to tame a pet against a 9x venos with full channeling wear. Legendary pets are another QQ issue that make people think we are OP and make they think: I hate venos -.-
    Or maybe you only found a dumbass Pk'er that only target at not physical defense classes like BM/barbs, some Pk'ers habituate to pk some class thinking they are more weak.
    Once your are playing and reaching levels you will find nice people who will value you.

    Lol wow.. I never heard of a higher lvl veno doing that. I do know my archer husband enjoys KSing ME lol...

    Playing a veno the right way is just as hard as playing any other class. One needs to know how to work her pet, nerf damage to prevent stealing aggro from pet, lure, how her skills work etc. I have saved many lives in TTs and BHs just by grabbing aggro when the squad's about to get whiped and give them a chance to flee.

    My husband started a new veno, to learn from the beginning.. cause he couldnt play mine, lol. He kept killing me b:surrender
