Shadow Escape effects...

I've searched the forums and didn't quickly see anything that addresses this.

Is the description of shadow escape incorrect or is it broke... or do i misunderstand what it is supposed to do?

It reads:

Force yourself into stealth. Dispel all negative status.
...blah blah blah...

The part I'm confused on is "Dispel all negative status."

While fighting the boss in the public quest there are tons of negative statuses to be had.

Slow attack rate, immobilize, on and on... these seem like negative status to me...

Using shadow escape does not seem to remove them at all.

Sooo. are they not negative statuses? is the skill "broke"? am i confused?

What is a negative status and does or does it not remove them?

Thanks

Seems to be broke or not functioning 'quiet' right. I've had dots, slows etc and they didn't seem to drop when I e-stealthed.

There seems to be confussion on this issue. TBH i personally hope is the description that's wrong. Shadow Escape already is terribly overpowered as it is. That a skill that you acquire at lvl 29 has the same effect as sage Summer Sprint is just ridiculous...

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

the way it reads, it should force you into stealth and, yes, purify you.

in my opinion, it does function, though not correctly. like maybe theres some text missing from the skill desription, i.e. has xx% chance to dispel negative status effects.

I've noticed it working sometimes, a few times even saving my butt from stacked poison damage (click, purified, attack again) and other times ive hit it and sat there taking poison damage til the status itself wore off.

and what tideborn skill doesnt someone think is overpowered? people ***** about sins healing 2% of melee damage dealt... the most ive seen is 400 hp healed at once, off of a double sparked crit. usually its around 40-50 hp per attack which tbh doesnt do a lot when the mobs are hittin you for 3-500 for every 2-3 hits u deal. how is that overpowered, why because it makes it take 10 more seconds for a charm tick if your fightin somethin a lot bigger than you?

    and others to remain unlisted...

    "What is best in life?"
"Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And here the lamentation of their women."

"Oracles... wtf are oracles..? I'm here to play the game, not power level through it so i can call other people noobs..."

Obviously it was rushed when typing

Prediction/Speculation: Sage Shadow Escape gives 2 sparks, Demon Shadow Escape purifies yourself

Someone probably just added the demon text by mistake IMO that's what i think happened XD

also o_o Psychics learn a self one at 59
Navarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. Now she's fox walloping and purging over and over again.. all for a deep stinging, head hunting, wind pushing Assassin. Will there be inner harmony and myriad rainbows? But of course! Yuri&Lemon Find it on Fanfiction XD "Discovering Sanctuary" Chapter 2 is up ^_^

Ok man, seriously. At least two other classes (Psychs and Wizzies) can heal other characters and all others have a self heal of sorts. This whole whining about how only clerics should purify is bull, the effect on sage Summer is on self only and can only be acquired at high levels (92).

Unlike Summer Sprint, Shadow Escape has a game breaking effect by itself, and to top it off provides a free spark. Self purify over that is just overkill. That's what this thread is freaking about. If i compared with Sage Sprint was to provide a benchmark as to where such an effect would have been considered appropiate for the traditional classes, and not to provide you with a chance to vent your resentment against venos. Go get owned by a Nix.

^Had the same experience. But if you are stunned or sealed you cannot use the effect which makes sense being it is not a genie skill but a character skill.
