guess I'm getting a new desktop

PWI refuses to work on my crappy old desktop after new updates. Anyone got any suggestion on configuration or models of middle ground computer that can run just about everything (doesn't have to be hi settings)?

Saw an emachines 03w on tiger direct and slapped a video card on it and it came to $400 and some change. Amd dual core 2.7ghz, 6 gigs ddr2 ram, geforce 9500gt 512 mb pci express, 750 gig hardrive.

I would be willing to put the thing together myself.

Want to pay as little as humanly possible.

Has to run most games on medium settings.

    hey, you FINALLY decided to post some specs... that pc would do fine. my own personal is Intel Pentium Dual Core E22200 @2.2ghz 4gb DDR2 ram and an 8600GT 512. I can run at max settings with little lag.
