Religion allowed in signatures... a poll.

So, do you, like me find it tiresome to always be bombarded wherever we go with religion?

Do you hate driving down the road, and seeing crosses and all that other clap trap everywhere you look?

Are you, like me tired of religious FANATICS demanding we see their religion everywhere we are, even in a GAME where we go to ESCAPE the 'real world'?

Do you come to a game like Perfect World, to get away from all that?

I submit this POLL to you then.

If you, like me, are tired of seeing this garbage everywhere, and don't want to be forced to see it here, in game or in peoples signatures or names... Say NO.

If you think it is fine, no biggie, you don't mind having other peoples religions shoved down your throat.. say Yes.

If, you couldn't care less.. say I don't care.

    I dont care. I dont really see how it is shoving it down my throat anyways. I did kinda dislike when i lived in the southern states all the signs nailed to trees and on the side of the road.

    is Blessed Be offensive? or is this just an anti christian quotes and comments?

    Actually, I am not without a religion. I just don't blab mine about everywhere I turn, and expect everyone to tolerate my doing it.

    I could care less. Don't like it, don't join their faction. It's not like they're spamming their religion on World Chat. Like the garbage you spew out most of the time.

    And you don't see them preaching the Gospel on the forums. But yet you just had to make another flame bait thread, to try an debase them.

    So get off your high horse and move to a Communist country if you don't want to see anything about religion.

    That is funny, considering I rarely ever talk on world chat, so what garbage would I be spewing out? Oh yeah that's right. none.

    I personally don't want to see ANY religion in a game, or on the forums. This isn't the real world, and my PERSONAL opinion is if you have to bring your real world GARBAGE into a FANTASY setting, something is wrong with you.

    You don't like that I think that way and don't want me to speak my mind? Move to a communist country. Oh right.. they would probably shoot you there.

    What's the matter with like minded people wanting to play a game together? So they have the same religion to talk about in game with other that think the same way as they do. They're not forcing you to join their faction, or to read their posts. You did that of you own choosing, if you joined them or read their post.

    And I should have specified about where you do all the spewing of your garbage. It's right here in the forums. Picking fights with people, starting flame war, etc. To boost that poor little ego of yours.

    And you should move to a Communist country, that way their government can filter out all those religious things that you hate seeing in game. So you'd have one less thing to cry and flame about.

    Actually cupcake, I speak my mind. I don't hesitate to say what I think. And it doesn't matter to me, if people like it or not. My opinion is, religion doesn't belong in a game. I don't go around making factions promoting my religion, I don't have anything in my signature promoting my religion, and I don't even mention my religion on the forums.

    I only see this type of behavior from certain religions that are in a 'race' to 'save people'.

    I know that I dislike seeing it everywhere I turn, and don't wish to add my own beliefs to the list of beliefs that feel the need to promote themselves everywhere you turn, as if it was a competition to see how many followers you can gain.

    So, while you may not LIKE what I think, and you may not LIKE that I VOICE my opinions freely. I don't care. If you don't LIKE what I am saying, the exit to the thread is that way

    No, here I am, pointing out that religion, doesn't belong here. This is a fantasy world.

    I can debate with people quite well, if they have a tenable position to debate. Unlike most people here, I can and do adjust my thinking as new information comes my way. If someone can convince me how they think is more tenable than how I think on a particular subject, then I can, and do adjust my thinking to allow for that new information.

    Can you say the same for yourself?

    So, when I argue a position, I argue it believing my position is the correct one. If I am shown that it isn't, I acknowledge it and adjust accordingly.

    So sorry sweet pea, but your conclusion about me is dead on wrong.

    I am really sick of it.
    There is a car down the street from my house that has "God" painted on it, and lots of bumper stickers, even some against **** marriage (Which I'm completely for, by the way)
    I have Christians from a church come to my house every weekend asking me if I want to come for Sunday school.
    That's my friggen time to sleep in.
    And, I'm a damn atheist.
    But they just can't get it through their thick skulls.

    I have no specific manifesto. If I did though, it would be something along the lines of promoting world war three and the destruction of the entire planet due to Thermonuclear war.

And if a person is religious and put a chapter & verse quote in their signature. Others that think or believe the way they do, will want to get to know that person, and see if they want to join their faction of like minded people. And play this game together.

    Like with your signature,and post history, people would assume you're either a pompous twit or someone that could bring lively debate to their faction.

    And those same religious people might also be offended by you signature of Evil Inside, thinking you could be a devil worshiper. Though you most likely are not one.

    To be technical, according to them what I worship is a devil because it isn't what they worship.

    Your points made are valid, and I understand what your saying. It does pose a particularly difficult problem in many ways.

    I understand people of like minds wanting to find one another, surprisingly I actually have no problem with that at all. My problem is more with the specifics of promotion.

    I don't think it should be allowed, but at the same time, I understand the need of people wanting to be around others who think the same way.

    I vowed: I don't care. Tho I tend to to choose the first option mentioned if it had not been so bluntly put.

    Why well, first I do NOT believe in God/Devil/Higher Power etc etc. So it's whatever you think is out there is up to you. I respect that but I prefer you keep it to yourself.
    So on forums where people of all greed come to make posts I would rather you not announce your believe to the world in any way.
    Anyone might get offended is your opinion of a "Divine Being" is made to strong.

    If you want to use some religious signature use the "Gods" of this game to make it more a Role-playing game approach using the names of the Gods used in this game.

    I have officially "won the game"... Actually, I decided it was time to leave.
    Joined sometime in March of 2009 - right after Dreamweaver opening.
    Retired on March 16, 2010... 1 year later...

    I chose "No, I'm sick of it, it doesn't belong in a game or on the forums." But then again, this is how I feel about religion in general... doesn't belong anywhere at all, as far as I'm concerned.
