This is not a rant just a series of statements/suggestions.
I use to look forward to patch updates and seeing what they put into the game or what they've changed or fixed but specially the last few weeks seriously? Few to NO(this week) bug fixes, nothing new that the people ASKED for in the suggestion box, oh yeah coral packs, oh yeah bulk corals packs, plat charms. This week? Nothing but fashion i mean seriously i think pwi is making enough money from the cash shop to throw us a few free bones once in a while and I think these random server events don't count because not everyone can do them because they are only one hour and this weeks its just a legion event... I know we had a new expansion thanks and all, and people are still upset that THAT isn't even finished but that was back in Dec. So far other then a failed half snowman event we haven't had any "free" events in ages i remember last year most holidays had some sort of event that everyone could participated in and NOTHIN this year or past 09 after what may juneish i think? It seems like it money money money if we cant make something off of it anymore then why bother. I dont think the events HAVE to be done in arch either i know people get annoyed with the lag there are many cities they could be done in though.
Think about it GM's, Dev's, Mod's give something to make the people happy once in awhile again that doesn't HAVE to req. the CS.
p.s Thats not to say with a Xmas event for example you couldn't have Xmas fash but dont make the CS the focal point of the game. ( Ans yes i have used the CS moderately)

They already do, they send coupons to people that use the cash shop, and they give 300 extra zen for free when you charge 50 dollars.
So, as you can see, PWI is giving things for free to the people that support the game.
For the people that do not charge zen? They still get to play the game for free, which, if you assume regular $15 per month pay to play games charge, in addition to the $50 upfront, means they are giving all free players $180 per year for playing this game and a savings of $50 up front, so, in the first year a "free player" plays, they got the equivalen to $230 dollars free play. I would say that is not bad at all.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.0 -
I deeply agree with you. PWI is making so much money from CS and we couldn't even have a valentine event all they did is give 50% off in CS I wish they made events that doesnt require money. I do see your point there EXCEPT this game is marketed as a F2P not P2P, and i'm not sure which method of charging you need to do but i've charged $50 muiltple times with the cards and i got now extra zenI may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it . The only 2 methods that I know that do not give you free extra zen is pre-paid cards and if you use Google checkout. All other methods I see give you an extra 300 zen if you charge 50 dollars.
Note that you have to choose the $50 dollar charge, it does not work if you charge 2 x 20 and 1 x 10 dollars.
And of course it is a F2P game, you do not get charged to play this game, nothing has changed, no matter how many "sales" they have.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. b:surrender Being a person who does buy gold constantly, and has a ton of fashion in-game, I get a ton of negative comments about it all the time.
But I do have to admit, it is a bit disappointing because I was expecting an event for Valentines day and was really excited from what other people said, but we didn't get anything. Mardi Gras? Nothing. Makes some sense but still, it would have been nice for a little something.
Christmas for me was really disappointing though, it was hardly an event. Halloween was my first event in this game and it was pretty fun so I figured they would all be really nice but apparently it isn't so?

I thought that was something that YOU were supposed to do... you know, like turn the computer off and go volunteer at the homeless shelter or the soup kitchen..... If you chose to not live up to the real things in the world, and instead spend time behind the computer, how can you preach that a company that makes computer games should concentrate on the real thing?Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. b:surrender I do volunteer work all the time rofl. I volunteer at the humane society, homeless shelters, teenage pregnancy, hospitals, etc. I also belong to ASPCA and other organizations like-wise. Not really, since you, and everyone else, will be too lagged to be even be able to type...... They have tried several times, and it turned out to be a lag fest and people complained about it for weeks....
Your best hope to meet new people is to go to the dragon temple event on Tuesday nights before maint. You will get killed alot, but you will be able to socialize as well.
I would love to see serverwide events, dont take me wrong, but I have no idea how they would be able to do that and not cause a lagfest, based on previous experiences.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures.
