I have made an icon for my faction but have read lots of conflicting info regards to transparent backgrounds. Some stating that GM's told them we cant have transparent background atm, others stating some factions already have them. Ive heard it is 32bit bmp... has that worked?

What is the latest requirement? Or if anyone has any such transparent icon ingame how did you submit it(what format?)

I made a preview in photoshop and really really would like to see it in the game like in this preview...

Any help appreciated.

P.S. Icon is Chinese for Perseverance

    that looks real cool O_O

i hope this gets put in, for more reason than one...

    1) transparency = more options to make your icon cool
    2) *.gif is smaller (in general) than *.bmp (in terms of HD space) and is easier to use
    3) *.gif also allows for animation... however that would probably be a pipe dream of mine
I have officially "won the game"... Actually, I decided it was time to leave.

Kamisama has a transparent background...I believe I read it had to do with layering. Give me a few minutes and I'll find the post.

    Thanks,
I read that post and it says 24bit bmp with alpha... I am also reading posts saying 32bit bmp alpha. If I am not mistakin... RGB is 24bit +8bit alpha = 32bit so i was thinking the 32bit bmp.

After reading all the posts on this im just a little bit frustrated. Seems like a submit and pray is the current method.
