Getting New computer Quistion

OK I,m getting a new machine with my Income tax refund and will have about $800 to spend. I can play the game now decently on my old machine. but want to be able to turn the graphics up and not go to lag city. I'm presently looking at a Athlon quad core plus a 1 gig graphic card but was wondering if anyone has any suggestion as Im no computer wiz.

    I just bought (a month ago) a Dell Inspiron 545.
    With Pentium Dual Core processor 2,70 GHZ
    4 GB RAM
    with GeForce GT220 chip
    approx. 700 euros, which is 650 dollar?
    it works great all settings high, only in west archo i have to turn off the ppl distances off. (UI tab)

    Ditto here, but have a ge-Force 8800GT with 512mb ram
    Pentium Dual Core processor 2,70 GHZ
    4 GB RAM
    Running Win7 64-bit

    Game runs flawlessly with all settings cranked. Although it does slow down a tiny bit in west arch.
