My game is running too fast

My game is running in fast forward, and I keep jumping back too where I was a few seconds ago. I have tried restarting, reloging, Ctrl-F9, and I can't turn off one of my processers because the option doesn't come up in Task Manager. I am running Windows Vista 32-bit on a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop.

Try restarting your PC and networking gear. Unplug them from electricity for 2-3 minutes. Plug them back in and turn them on.

    See if that helps.

There could also be local internet hiccups in your area, try again later.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

I don't think it's my internet connection causing the problem, but I shall try that anyway.

Is there a 3rd Party program that slows down the FPS of PW?

Does anyone even know why my game is running at over 2x speed? Maybe then we can work out a way to make it normal.

Ah yes, a Vostro laptop. I got one of those. When the game is launched in full screen (about 95% of the time), it moves at a very fast speed to the point where I can't even connect.

    Workaround: Run in windowed mode.

If you REALLY want to play in full screen you'll have to switch to full after opening the game.

Information: It is proven that the majority of the Perfect World International player base suffers from "Motorcylophobia".

-Every single patch to an MMO causes players to cry: "They Changed It, Now It Sucks". Every. Single. Patch. -Taken from TV Tropes.

game running too fast? are you stupid? more speed = better. ROFL

    joking

I love games with intense speed. Gunz the Duel, RollCage, Surf maps on CSS, anything with insane speed :D

I have the same problem. Happens more than half the time now, it's really annoying. Sometimes it'll work fine for an hour or two, then start happening. Or happen for a few seconds or minutes then go back to normal. Or it just happens from the start and theres nothing i can do to fix it. I have tried all the solutions given and none solve it completely. The window and settings help a little, but still does it. Im running Windows XP 32-bit.

Fixed! - I did wat "pepsi345" couldn't. I changed the Affinity to only one CPU through Windows Task Manager Processes and it fixes it perfectly, change it back to two and it's screwed again. Hopefully this will work for other people also.
