Except you need fb for spirit cultivation or tideborn weapon quest.
Spirit cultivation is a quest that usually start from a taoist, after finish it new skill will be available to use and learn for you.
Weapon token quest is only available for tideborn, that tell you to kill certain boss in instance which after you report the quest you has 50% chance to get weapon mold or mirage celestone.
FB is a instance that has super mob and super boss mob that can drop mold and reputation stamp.
(except tideborn first fb againts giant octopus that hardly a fb)

Mold is a part of gear or weapon that only able to manufacture at forge, after manufactured usually they has better status than common gear from npc and special than normal manufactured gear.

You receive frost cover from coral pack or anni pack which only available from cash shop for 1 gold, or you can buy from other player for great amount of coin that can be a dream for many other player.
Yes tibeborns can wear them too.
