    Defense level covers both physical and magical damage as a flat % of damage reduction. (Think of it as having permanent BB from just your armor)

    i believe def lvl stacks with dmg reduce buffs. that makes a total of 74.change% if you have a cleric bbing. at this point, the boss ragequits.

    Ok, I am still new to this, and i will not be running lots on numbers like some of the others have. However the topic was DOT's not DOD's or citrines or anything. Unless you solo at lvl 99-100 who cares how much hp a sin or archer has. just refine your gear to make up the loss if you infuse 24 DOT's.

    One Dot ='s 1% attack lvl. 24='s 24% increase in damage. so lets say u do 10,000 damage. with 24 DOT's you would then do 12,400

    Now lets say you crit 10,000 becomes 20,000 24 DoT's becomes 24,800

    Now ppl tend to forget that simply going in an instance and getting a badge gets you an additional 10 attack lvls and 10 def lvls, so now were taking a huge increase up to 34% now just for going into say a BH.

    Now since most ppl are talking end game lets talk nirvana. A full set of nirvana gear gets u +10 attack and defence lvls. Now we are at 46% damage increase. 10,000 becomes 14,600 and 20,000 becomes 29,200 damage.

    Now if ppl wanna get really crazy (i'll never live to see one) lets assume u have a WARSOUL weapon... ... ... 96% increase in damage your talking 4x's increase, nevermind a sin with spark (pre sage/demon) gets 300% damage increase...

    DOT's if you willing to sacrifice the HP are the way to go for a DD if u can get 26 of them i myself currently at lvl 78 and 22 of them and will get all 26 and will get my nirvana gear at some point 46% increase, ill be Happy. Glass armor yes. but its like standing in front of a shotgun at 10 meters and hoping not to be slpattered all over even wearing a bullet proof vest. its gonna hurt like hell.b:laughb:chuckleb:pleasedb:thanks

    There's a HUGE difference between %-of-weapon-damage, and %-of-total-damage. Spark eruptions give the former, not the latter.

    So what u are saying is that 1 Diamond of tiger adds 1% damage if u put in weapon, well does the garnet gem add more then 1% damage or what is it's percentage alone by itself, if a 1 socket weapon has 1 DoT in it instead of a garnet gem, will it do more damge? and if the garnet gem's percentage is lower then the DoT then would 2 DoT in one weapon be better then 2 garnet gems? and also if the DoT adds 1% damge doesnt that mean that it wont show up in the character info and wont it just show up whenever u deal damge? sorry if that question sounds confuseing ................quoted wrong person i think, my bad

    i had a question so i asked it. i didnt expcet for it to get anwserd as soon as i posted it so i would check back in a month or so. if im wrong for asking a late question then oh well. get a life u freaking idiot.

    That answer right there is more accurate then the first one. now that is how u go about doing things instead of insulting first. and i thought that if the GMs didnt close the tread that it was still open. but oh well i will make a new one.
