A few beginner questions...

Hello, i have recently started playing PWI and am so far enjoying it a lot, however, after learning the basics, i still have a few not so in-game related questions.
1- Longevity Factor.
I read on a fan site that PWI has been out for only a year and a half, but after browsing these forums for a few days, i am already noticing quite a lot of rants about the price of CS items with in-game gold, the ruined economy, player behavior, etc. My question concerning this is for how long do you expect PWI to still be a fun and enjoyable game to play for the casual gamer who doesn't invest a lot of in-game cash into the game, doesn't play for more then 1hr-2hr per day, and so on?
2- Grind vs Quest factor.
I like games where it is a challenge to level up, but one thing i dislike a lot is grindfest style games where questing barely gets you more then 10% of your level, and you have to grind the rest of the way. Is PWI more on the side of grinding or questing? Or is it a relative balance of the two?
3- RL investing.
I'm not a big fan of investing real life money into games that are supposed to be free and tend to avoid it whenever possible. I know that in PWI you can buy CS items with in-game coin, and reading these forums i already figured that the prices on said CS items and CS currency is already pretty high. However, is it high to the point that you can only get them with RL cash or will i still be able to pull through as long as i try to have as much in-game coin as possible?
4- Venomancer?
One class i am very interested in is the Venomancer. However it is a female only character and i am male. Now i don't have any problems against playing a female character, but is it considered... unusual to do so or are half of the venomancers player by guys anyways?
5- PWI vs JD.
One game that i have also tried out recently is Jade Dynasty and it was pretty fun as well, especially since i am a big fan of ancient china style mmorpg's. What are your opinions about it and why should i play PWI instead of JD or the contrary?
All your answers will be very much appreciated.b:thanks

1. fun fun (just ignore most of the trolls...they will complain about almost anything.)
2. quest quest quest (moar quest) this be mainly from the boatload of daily quests available.
3. me are doing just fine without spending a single real life dollar.
4......no half the venomancers are not guys......it be more like 80% of them be guys. b:shocked so um feel free to play a venomancer.
5. PW eats JD....JD be a rather pathetic MMORPG
also better start soon while it still be the 2x exp/spirit/drop event.
^.^darthpanda16: Firefox crashed on me. Aryannamage: I don't think I am a GM that would be new.

frankieraye: I'll see if we can replace the woman with a stick figure and the tiger fangs with marshmallows.//Issues like these need to get escalated quickly to minimize the damage.
Kantorek: Yeah.. you should try it. It's awesome.
Sihndra: Nope- not currently possible under any circumstances. Sorry.
LokisDottir: I mean...not haunting the forums, nope nope..

Always remember that this game isn't free to the devs. Servers cost money. Advertising costs money. They need money.
This is why there is a cash shop. I am a fan of the micro transaction model btw
The short answer is that as you level you will see a need for the cash shop. You don't need to purchase items but at later levels you may need too.
Personally, I like the game and how it is run so I do support them with real money.
You don't have too. But you may need too.0 -
1. I dunno how long this game will last, but there seems to be a decent number of people still playing, and im not giving up anything soon.
2. Some levels you can level up completely on quests, others require grinding. however i have no experience above 57 so i cant say for higher levels.
3. I dont spend money online so I havent bought any zhen. However cashshop items are quite nice bonuses, and i recently made my first CS purchase (super invent stone) which is nice, but like all cashshop items arent required.
4. Well cant really comment too much on this one being female, but most venos ive met are male. Its not odd in the slightest since venos are the only pet class, and alot of people want to at least try it out.
5. Well havent tried JD since my net gets throttled if i exceed my data caps (measly 10GB for 2 months) but PWI looks better to me.0
